Little tip when taming pets if you don't want to die, lay down ice trap let them run over it the begin casting tame pet, the ice trap last longer then tame pet so u wont get hit.

@mommymanda2009 Usually yes but Terropene channels a range attack that hits like a truck ( i tamed him at 84 and he hit for 10k per tick. So traps wouldn't be effective

@kevinmarquessk8 No you do not need BM Im an MM hunter and i got him yesterday. He hits like a truck so if your not a level 85 i wouldnt try unless you have a druid HoT you up then fly away becasue you will die if they dont.

you do NOT have to be a BM to tame this guy - he is just a regular turtle albeit a rare spawn, any spec hunter can have this guy out - that is why hes so sought after.

Easiest rare to find, i always kill him when i pass over Hyjal. On my hunter, the turtle does crap damage, its not only for BM. Its only for tanking and looks. Its a slap to the face if you try to use it in pvp.

its not the best pet u can get.. its without a doubt probably the best tanking pet but for dps its not even compare to others. Chromaggus the new core hound is probably the best dps pet u can get.. but other people will have different opinions but i have honeslty done the best dps on a bm with Chromaggus the core hound. but others are also really close to him but it really depends on the look u like for ur pet and what u wanna do.such as pve or pvp.

I am so glad we got a kickass tenacity pet now. With the talent that improves healing to him by 20% and his shell shield ability he is pretty Indestructible. Also unlike Ghostcrawler you don't have to be BM to use him witch makes him even cooler.

I got this guy at 82 and he is an awsome tank pet. Fair warning he has a lava laser beam that hits really hard. So if you don't have atleast 45k health you will need a healer.
