  • In this debate:

People who think that nationality is the same thing as ethnicity.

  • african american would imply that they are african immigrants. they are not. To call them that seems almost disrespectful. It ignores the culture and history they built in america. African American sounds like some crap that some nervous patronizing white idiot thought up. Walking around glass on blacks doesn't help, and ends up feeling like racism after a while.

  • He's an American first and then a black American if you need to description for a crime or something. We don't call White Americans Euro-Americans. Cenk analogy is stupid because he was born in Turkey and then unfortunately moved here

  • us black people are black american.. i never been to africa before, so how am i african, when the only culture i know is the english culture. why cant i just be called American without a title

  • Black people are less clever than White/Asian people

  • @armani87john Yes, especially less clever than all of those asain presidents, govenors and senators we've had in the U.S. jerk.

  • Comment removed

  • Herman Cain is right. Get mad all you want, but how damn ridiculous would it be to start referring to all white Americans as European Americans?

  • @scandmx5atl they are though

  • @Mr1700 I was born in Norway and currently live in America. If anyone was a true "European American" I would be. However, it sounds absurd, so I simply call myself an American. I'm not a race card whiny ass food stamp receiving jig though.

  • @scandmx5atl

LOL. You know it makes me laugh how pretentious phonies such as yourself who come to America and act as if you're entitled to things that OTHER people worked for and then have the audacity to look down on people. Do you know how absurd that is? Who cares if people call themselves White or Black American? Is that even your business as to what people refer to themselves, give me a fricken break with your steretypical bs you're talking about.

  • @Mr1700 aww you mad

  • @scandmx5atl

No,why should I be? I was just being real, you got a problem with that? LOL.

  • @Mr1700 lol yeah you mad

  • I totally agree with eyedunno. Cain is anA-A and nutty as a fruit cake. Obama is neither. Obama is ethnically Caucasian and African. He also was raised cuturally Caucasian. To me, it's only racism that won't allow a white man , who happens to also be Kenyan, who was raised by his white family, to be called " white" or "Kenyan" or both. But why is he lumped into a group to which he doesn't have a shared ancestry. That's ridiculous! He is what he is and, for me ( African-am), wonderful.

  • @germyw I'm sure he might have been had he not married an African American/black woman

  • I tota

  • As a black man, I have to say that Herman Cain has been nothing short of a disgrace for us, with his embarassing campaign. However, I will admit that he provided me with plenty of laughs while he was running for the presidency. The stuff that came out of his mouth was even funnier than Jon Stewart.

  • Ironically, I use African-American as an ethnic, not racial, category. So Cain is African-American (as well as a rich, black, conservative businessman), but Barack Obama is not (and Michelle is).

  • TYT is very rasist, it is ok for a BLACK man to like hard work. He made his money by working hard, not reporting on those that work hard and then making fun of them.

  • @Doggorunning it`s nto about racism you retard! It`s about him hating his own people.

How would`ve felt Dr.King about some disgusting conservative scum such as Herman Cain...

  • @ThreeLions89 You proved it Liberals are rasist and rude; really conservatives don't talk to others like this. Maybe if you act like you should you will start to make money, like the "man"

  • @Doggorunning

    1. Learn how to write "racist" properly

    2. Liberals are mostly very tolerant and open-minded people... something you`d know simply by being alive.

    3. I`m currently studying in Zurich (Switzerland) and I`m going to become a lawyer. It`s not money what I`m worried about but rather having stupid people like you polluting our societies.

  • @ThreeLions89

    1. THis is the internet so plz, I dont need a spell checker.

    2. You couldnt be more wrong, liberals are rude and start all replys with an insult as you did. When you cant when a debate with facts, you must attack the person; we get it.

    3. Create something, we have enough Lawyers; Just one more rich Liberal GREAT

  • @Doggorunning

    1. Right.... so confusing the "c" with an "s" is just another way to say you`re different...right? Nope... it simply says you`re stupid.

    2. It`s just like for an evolutionist (as myself or any other intelligent person) to sit on a roundtable with a creationist jackass.... you can`t stop yourself from insulting someone else`s stupidity in this case.

    3. I`m doing what I`m doing becasue I`m good at it...not for the pleasure of some conservative idiot.

  • @ThreeLions89 Owe thats win not when, since it matters so much

  • Herman Cain = Uncle Ruckus

  • @infox1000 good point

  • "I'm a black conservative......I don't like people labeling me"

    WTF? O_o

  • he is one sad man, i'm gonna pray for him

  • @Lakekepler because most slaves don't know what country they came from..duh

"black" is even more inaccurate, because it's a colour.. and no one us white red black yellow

  • @LobsterPotsticker thats what he said; thats is exactly the sarcasim he ment by his comment. Just because your "black" does not mean your from Africa. Point is most Blacks are not from Africa, so whats with this African American label. This was made up by our government, the same government that collected slaves and allowed it. Funny Blacks love Democrats and BIG government. Maybe if the studied history they would be Republican.

  • @Doggorunning But BLACK is MORE inaccurate. African is more accurate since black other varies from country to country. Also republicains changed since those times, which is why it wouldn't make since to be republicain

  • @LobsterPotsticker I disagree, and the Democrates have done a very good job of keeping blacks in there place. One day history will tell this story honestly, Standing on your own 2 feet is the conservative way. The liberal model has never worked and has succesfully created the hoods, and gererations of dependancy, I beleive it ment to. I want nothing more to see all men live well, thinking as a liberal, or Obama will never get you there; Herman Cain would have fixed this.

  • ugh...the host sounds more like uncle ruckus than he does. this is the best refutation you have? just nitpicking really

and herman cain is truly part of the american black ethnic group (due to passed down cultural traditions), obama has simply been lumped into this group due to his physical appearance

  • @AgentCarter guess you've never heard unkle rukus

  • @LobsterPotsticker no i watch the boondocks, seen at least half of the episodes

  • @Lakekepler As far as I can tell, the African part is aimed at the fact that these people are the black kind of American. All blacks are perceived as the same ethnicity in the US. So literally you might be right. But same goes for people from Suriname who call themselves American, since they live in South America, which is a America. Don't get hung up on the literal meaning of words. You know what an African American is. It's about being black, not 'from Africa'.

  • The young turks suck...this isnt journalism

  • @rogeralejandro2007 they never said they were u stupid fuck

  • he is a nigger slave

  • Cain is a house nigga, I dont like bastards like him

  • olby, take off that ugly mask. i know it's you.

  • Sounds to me like Herman has labeled himself quite well - American, black, conservative, hypocrite, misogynist.

  • Jayar ftw

  • @Lakekepler uh? they are of course

  • whats the sence in these subtitles?

  • he's black (or perhaps colored if you follow the NAACP's terminology). it is that simple. African-American is too frequently misused, and is an offensive term.

A white person can be African-American. Just like a black person can be an European-American.

  • Why does this guy (Cenk) continue to embarass himself?

    What a tool.

  • @Lakekepler Because African SLAVES were taken from different parts of Africa its really about the context.

  • Most people (especially those that are 'uninformed' and rely on being 'politically-correct' as opposed to 'culturally-competent') have a habit of INACCURATELY using the ETHNIC term of 'African-American' as a synonym for the RACIAL term of 'Black'.

They are two (2) separate terms and are referring to two (2) different groups of people.

The terms are NOT synonyms and should NOT be used interchangeably.

  • Contrary to assumption-based, media-led MYTH, tthe ETHNIC group known today by the misnomer of 'African-American' DID NOT make the decision to have that term applied to them.

The term was applied to them (without their input, permission or knowledge) by the American media in 1988.

During Jesse Jackson's 'presidential campaign' the media asked him what term he used to describe himself; he responded "African-American"; & the media decided to apply said term to every "black" person in the U.S.

  • There is nothing wrong with Black Americans wanting to identify with their heritage. Many groups do that. There just seems to be pressure for ALL to use this term. I didn't grow up with it, I hate racism, but I will call black people "black people". I don't know if this comes more from blacks or politically -correct liberals, but there's no need for it. I feel that if you do not use the term, you may be called racist yourself pretty soon.

  • @Lakekepler Ya hit the nail on the head!!!! I have a white friend who's grand parents immigrated from South Africa and I LMFAO when he tells people he's African American!!!!

  • Cain doesn't want to be pre-occupied with ethnicity like braindead liberals. We could all waste our time adding continental prefixes to our nationality, european-american, asian-american, etc. but some of us see it as pointless to waste syllables pointing out the obvious.

  • That is cain's choice as to how he view himself. I think it is a waste of time when people try to convince others that the person choice is not acceptable. Booooooooo.

  • He is american and???????

  • This is beyond stupid. This idiot tries to (another desperate, "in-your-face-liberal") twist what Herman C said. What he meant was "it's okay to call me black". What liberals don't get is that political correctness is killing this country. Liberals invent labels; African American, Native Americans, Latino. One can no longer say Black, Mexican, Indian, "Oriental" (which is now supposed to be "Asian"). He is American black or African American. Liberals: The fake race-card wont't work!

  • @saxyguy1000 Case in point, Ive worked in jobs with people from all over the world, different parts of Asia, Africa, Europe, S. America. One lady co-worker from Bulgaria was impressed that I could pronounce her name, which is stemmed from her native language, accurately when I don't even speak her language.

And her comment was to another about me was, "He can say my name, and he's AMERICAN." Not " Black American" which I am. Most immigrants I knew only acknowledge CITIZENRY, not race labels.

  • he also deserves praise for saying mexicans should get electrocuted on a dual fence, or trying to hide koch brothers obvious influence.

i dont hate him but hes a disgusting person.

  • @Lakekepler whatever herman cain is, you can have him.

  • @Lakekepler I'm labeled black, and herman cain good sir, is not black....an asshole maybe, but not black.

  • @infox1000 The history before his slavery is one where his family was captured and sold into slavery, not a history I'd like to associate myself with, not sure about yourself. But to claim black is just a description is rather silly. I could put 4 people 2 whites from south Africa (who are now Americans) and two blacks from Germany and are German in a line up and ask you to point out the African Americans. My guess is you'd point to the two blacks.

  • @infox1000 So I'm still at a loss, why should Cain look to claim African heritage when Africa did nothing but sell his family into a life of slavery over American heritage which has treated him well.. which is the original point, the question at hand...

  • @RLWSNOOK410 can you prove it? How do you know that? you are reading history book written by the plutocracy.(the engine of slavery and colonization). Socially speaking , west-Africa is more advanced than USA; Do you know that? I know that TARZAN and HOTEL RWANDA movie will prove me wrong , but the 1% of black American who might slightly know about WEST-AFRICA will tell you that there is no way in hell they will deliberately sell their people.

  • @infox1000 Are you on drugs, or just stupid? You say "Americans have yet to cause black people to be free anywhere in the world." and "African slaves... become powerful kings." Can I remind you We have a black president of the united states, and Herman Cain is another black man running for office. I guess these two guys aren't free though nor are they "powerful".

  • so for ever African American running for president, he or she has to be from Africa? really? i mean really?!

so, if Herman Cain is from Africa, then mitt romney is from Ireland? newt gingrich from Oslo Norway? or better yet...michele bauckman from HELL?..lol and of coarse, rick perry from Nazi, Germany?..lol

  • If you respect your African ancestors , you should be proud to be call, African American.

  • yep, regardless of our race we come to America to become Black people. Most Whites are ashame of Gods African American Children. Now we see, Cain is as well.

  • @alguerrero

...while you are busy pressing the shift-key?

  • TO THE YOUNG TURKS. YOU OBVIOUSLY DON'T LIKE NOR UNDERSTAND PEOPLE THAT HAVE A STRONG BACKBONE...HERMAN CAIN DOES NOT LIKE BEING CALLED AFRICAN AMERICAN BECAUSE IT IS POLITICALLY CORRECT...AND AS SUCH HE WANTS TO BE CALLED BLACK. GET OFF HERMAN'S BACK AND COMPLAIN ABOUT THE IDIOT IN THE WHITE HOUSE...WHICH BY THE WAY SHOULD KEEP YOU BUSY UNTIL JANUARY 2013.

  • Here are a couple of good videos about White privilege

    watch?v=7yMR-zKbvsw

    watch?v=NFsvcsV009o

  • This guy's an idiot, the liberal media is just afraid to lose black votes when a real black man can get the republican nomination

  • please correct me if i'm wrong but are we not all from africa i mean common calm down herman cain

  • Cenk makes me sick.

  • @CNSZU with envy? yeah, me too

  • Reason he doesn't like being called an African American is cause he wasn't an African national that immigrated to America. When you use African American, Mexican American, Russian American its cause they were born in their country and then immigrated to the US. Alot of people don't understand how that works. If you were born in the US then you are American, unless YOU immigrated here.

  • I have a white friend who was born in South Africa who is now a U.S. Citizen.

Therefore he is a real African American & has the right to call himself " An African American" Black people born on American soil who have never been to or seen Africa or even know where it is located on a world Atlas are not African at all. They are unfortunately just Americans like the rest of us. They call themselves African Americans with the hope you will feel sorry for them. I ignore them myself.

  • @BillDiceVideos have people forgotten about african dispora.

  • If your family members were captured and sold into slavery would you consider yourself a proud member of that country? I think this guy is incredibly racist, and his mocking is coming simply because he is clearly biased against republicans.

Sure you are from turkey but you came here or your family came here under their own will. Not by people in your country overtaking your people\family and selling your ancestors off as a spoil of war. Clearly this guy doesn't understand history...

  • @RLWSNOOK410 agree!!

  • @RLWSNOOK410 Dude what about facing reality?

  • @alsdyall Oh enlighten me, what is reality. This should be good.

  • @RLWSNOOK410

yeah instead of identifying with the home your ancestors where robbed from

you should identify with the people that did the robbing

    check your own understanding

  • @mwondu With or without the Europeans these people would have been slaves. So who do you want to be upset at the people who caused your people to be slaves (Africans) or the people who caused your people to after time be free (Americans). Slavery was taking place in Africa for 100's of years before the Europeans started to buy slaves. They fought wars and whoever lost became slaves of the winners, this didn't start with Europeans. Their African enemies 'robbed' them not their ancestors.

  • Herman Cain is an American. No hyphen necessary.

This host is such a tool. WOW.

  • If you are born in the US you are an American PERIOD. No hyphenated anything. If you are born in another country then move here then you are what every country you are from- American.

  • I kinda want to use one on Cenk's lovehandles to choke him to death so I don't have to listen to his blabbering. Just saying.

  • Africa has races of different color fool, african does not mean black, it could be arab, white, black, colored, bushman etc. You mother fuckers we don't see you as africans, you certainly are not and are trying to be something you can never be. You don't even know our culture

  • @s8demon why are you so hostile against blacks of dispora?

  • This dumb ass does not realize that even in Africa there are no Africans. Africa is a continent with different countries and we are Zambians, Kenyans, Zimbabweans etc. These so called african-americans don't even know where africa is in most cases. The dunb fuckers are not part of us, they have Americanized and should just be what they are, leave our heritage out of the equation

  • Do black people living in England call themselves African-English?

How about African-German or African Canadian?

They want to blend into society or do they want to continue to segregate themselves? Same with Latino American.

  • @wsoxman Hmm. I guess when we are no longer talked, about, ridiculed and scorned because we are Black, then I guess we will feel like blending in. But wait, blending in would mean that we would totally lose every vestige of our identity. We were already forced to forget our languages, our culture even our names. So blending in would mean that the final nail has been driven into the coffin and we can be pronounced dead for sure. No thx, I will hold on to what little shred of my i.d. I have left.

  • @genesisx100 There is always the choice to move back to the old country.

  • @wsoxman No. I prefer to stay here and be a thorn in your side. Why should I run away after being abused? That would make me a coward.

  • @genesisx100 No, you staying around and bitching about your own lack of achievements is a weak mans excuse for a life. Blame others is the lazy mans way.

  • @wsoxman Laughable and odd at the same time that you would say anything about my lack of achievement when you don't know anything about me.

  • @genesisx100 Well "SIR" based on you lame post that provide no facts or even common sense............one would think you spend your days behind a computer.

I wonder how millions of immigrants have assimilated with little or no problems. Latinos also have a problem wanted to bust out of the HOOD. The Blame game has to end and people stand on their own 2 feet. Its called responsibility.

  • This guy is an a hole! People listen to Herman Cain actually saying it instead of this ideot! This guy makes everything sound funny or like Herman Cain is mad when no. Hes not mad hes just making a point. WATCH HERMAN VIDEOS TO LEARN ABOUT HIM INSTEAD OF WATCHING THIS LOSER!

  • TYT Is just another orginization trying to help collapse america for the goal of a socialistic future

  • WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE..YOUR A JOKE YOUNG TURKS..MAN I WOULD LOVE TO HIT YOU WITH A BASEBALL BAT

  • TYPO - Herman Cain DIDN'T need to kiss White Liberal ass to become a success in life. That's what bugs the hell out of Libs. Same with Conservative women. Libs don't give a damn for women's right when the woman is a Conservative. Just look at all you Lib ass-holes calling Cain a "monkey", "Uncle Tom", "house nigger". He's miles above you dopes and didn't need Affirmative Action. The trouble with you pompous-ass Libs, you think everyone is so damn stupid. Lib BO has proven himself a dumb-ass.

  • Herman Cain. Not my President..........

  • Cenk is a fucking Uncle Tom racist fuck tard!

  • he is fucking ape american ....

  • @TheYoungTurks This isn't news...

  • Herman Cain is American. That is correct. It is hard for many blacks to find connection to Africa, especially that they're disconnected with their African roots. They're more American than anything. I don't believe ones presumed heritage should be connected to their nationality. He is an American. I am an American.

  • @AllegiancePledged agreed

  • @AllegiancePledged

That's you. I like to be called African american.

  • @Dramactica ... I care because?

  • @AllegiancePledged

Because you make a big deal. If you don't care, then why are you comment?

  • @AllegiancePledged HERMAN CAIN IS A WHITE MAN IN A BLACK MAN BODY ACCORDING TO HIS UNCLE TOM VIEWS AND POLICIES.

  • Cain is not a sell-out, or and Uncle Tom. He is what a portion older Americans who are black refer to as a "house n*gger". "Ofay". He has been so uncomfortable all his life with his own skin, that he would say and do anything for the acceptance of anyone with skin lighter that his. This is probably a result of upbringing. Or what I call the "Jarvis" effect. Herman, they don't like you. Your opinions coupled with your color only serves a useful purpose until they are done with you. Ask STEELE.

  • @Ghettoroyalty121 I never said that I don't have roots in Africa. I am saying I can't say which African country (it would be better to say region seeing as how the country lines were mostly carved by invaders) my roots are held in.

  • Herman Cain actually made something out himself and doesn't let a bunch of race-obssesed left-wing assclowns do his thinking for him. Which is more than anyone can say for useless tool like Cenk Fatguy.

  • instead of african-american or german-american or chinese american, how about just american?

  • @lvll138inrs that was Cain's point

  • This guy is a straight up racist. His whole reading of Herman Cain's words was condescending & hateful. He made it out as if Cain was really talking that way & expressing his emotions in such a manner. If this so called "smart turkish man" knows so much about Herman Cain, he would know first of all that Herman Cain is professional in the way he speaks & carries himself. More so than this ignorant fool who got his impersonation of Cain completely wrong right off the bat. Typical racist liberal.

  • @TrueInnovator159

He isn't racist. there is nothing racist.

  • @Dramactica Well I guess this is where we disagree my friend.

  • @TrueInnovator159

I guess so because I don't see nothing racist what he said. I think people make a big deal with the word African American. I'm African American and I'm proud. It is still American. Big deal.

  • @Dramactica Quick history lesson. Slavery took place because people from Africa fought wars. The losers became the slaves of the winners. These losers were sold off for more guns and money in order to take over more people and have more power.

Chances are if you can trace your roots back to slavery you wouldn't be too happy with those who sent you over here, which was the AFRICAN PEOPLE. Hence the reason Cain does not like to be associated with them.

  • @RLWSNOOK410

I don't need a frickin history lesson. You need to reread my comment. I'm African American and an American. I AM PROUD OF IT. You don't have to some close connection. He has their blood.

I still have my ancestor blood from Africa. You do you think I am? White?

If you don't like it, then move to another country. A

  • @Dramactica I read your comment. I know you are not white. My statement stands. My guess is you've never taken a sociology course either. Before a group has been assimilated into American culture they are labeled their country they are from and then american. Take Latino- American, Irish americans... Mind you African Americans have been around a long time. They have yet to be assimilated fully... But hey, I'm sure you are happy with that... You're proud of your ancestors who sold u like meat

  • @RLWSNOOK410 myth, europeans came and took.

  • @keepitmovingish I'm guessing you've never studied this topic... Other than what you might have learned in like 8th grade... Listen... Don't know what to tell you... Slavery was going on long before Europeans came.. Europeans just exploited the system that was in place. And bought these "slaves" from groups that had taken over others. Mind you a major part of their payment was guns and ammunition, which helped these groups take over more people and gain more slaves... No myth here...

  • @RLWSNOOK410 evidence please, lol. the how they did it part was not the devastating part of the diaspora, it was the removal of culture and identity. and that 25% or 35% european blood most blacks of diaspora carry.

  • @keepitmovingish Whites carry black blood especially arab blood.

  • Hermain shut up because you look like someone bent over and took a shit on your face you ugly ass rat looking burnt piece of shit

  • This is what we call selective racism.

  • there is nothing African about that nigger

  • 2:20 On Replay.. SO FREAKING HYSTERICAL

  • @PsychoBurgundy007- So then, if your White, born in South Africa, then immigrate to the US from Africa, with your reasoning that person is an African-American. Wow, what a dazzling display of logic. In reality the term "African-American" is wrongfully synomous with "Black" regardless of nationality. If a person is from a place like Jamaica, they will point out that they're not African-American. What's the big deal what Herman Cain is? Obama's half White, but American Blacks forget that fact.

  • @henrynevins

Actually, Mr. Obama's father was from Kenya, i.e, Africa and President Obama is African-American. His wife, Mrs Obama's ancestry is Haiti, but she does not call herself a Hatian-American, does she? Why not? Perhaps because Hatians were West Africans first! Herman Cain can identify himself anyway he choses, however, as a descendant of Africans enslaved in America he is historically African-American anyway! Republicans know this! They know too Cain politically assimilated!

  • @sitabanu What the hell does it matter what Cain is? Right now he's a Republican candidate running for president. Libs are the racists who always need to label people, never discuss ideas or issues, just smear and lie is their MO. Obama is the Messiah because he's a Socialist, doesn't matter he never held a job. Cain has long business track record, he's smart, but as a Conservative he's strayed off the Lib plantation and did kiss White Lib ass to become a success. BO has failed at everything.

  • @henrynevins President. Obama is a Harvard Graduate. Taught Constitutional law. Was a community activist in Southside! Chicago. Became the fifth African American Senator in the history of the Senate since 1870. Became a first time author best selling book Audacity of Hope selling nearly 860,000 copies in its seventh printing, falling short of the Clinton's by 440-340K. Received the Nobel Peace Prize. Has been married for 19 years. Failure at everything? I think not!

  • @sitabanu PLease, wait while I get out my violin and cry. Yes, Obama on his resume, but in reality is a load of crap. BTW, did he go to Harvard or any where else? Anyone ever see a transcript? Grades? No one at Harvard or any school remembers him, it's a big fraudulent secret. Senator? yeah right, the guy who turned up 120 times to vote "present", then spent his time campaigning. His racist book saying "White man's greed leaves a world in need"? Hanging out with terrorist Bill Ayers? Rev Wright?

  • @sitabanu Forgot to add, Obama has never held a job, never ever run a lemonade stand but thinks he can run a country and economy? He's proven himself to be a total F-up. Everyone knows it, the world knows it and they're all laughing at the superior pompous ass intellect. Where did all the trillions of stimulus go? It would have been a HELL OF A LOT CHEAPER TO GIVE EVERY AMERICAN $1MIL. Total cost $300mil. No, he's a Socialist and a terrorist intent on bringing the US economy & country down.

  • @henrynevins The stimulus was 780 billion & 500 billion was tax cuts. If you give everyone a million dollars, but the middle & lower class will still not live within their means. When the economic downturn started, there were individuals who were earning thousands of dollars per week, who had mortgages, made car payments, and had maxed out credit cards. If an individual makes that much money, then he should not have a mortgage, should not have credit card balances, & should buy cars with cash.

  • @TheeGhostWriter Stimulus was a waste, where did it go? No jobs came from it. The infamous "Bush Tax Cuts", they are identical to the tax cuts made by JFK in the 1960's, both got the economy going by freeing up money of private biz which created jobs. Obama's thick head can't grasp that. The economy crashed in Oct '08 because Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, and BO buddy Franklin Raines extorted Fanny Mae to give loans & bail out people who clearly would default and they did. Dems caused this economy.

  • @henrynevins Where did the Bush tax cuts go? To jobs? In the 1960s, this country was still thriving. Individuals earned "living wages." You know personally about "Obama's head?" You think 3 people can crash the biggest economy in the world? The problem did not start in 2008. The problem started when the Nixon administration took the US off of the gold standard 40 years ago. Since that time, the dollar has lost 98% of its value, and gold has increased in value from $35 per ounce to $1850.

  • @TheeGhostWriter Crash the economy? The Manchurian President is doing it. Since the Repubs remain in the minority they can't obstruct a thing, they're irrelevant. Obama is in full control, its his and the Dems economy. Like you haven't noticed the country's AAA rating was downgraded? Great depression had 15mil unemployed, so far we have 14mil and it increases by 400,000+ each week, we're deep in debt to China, no mortgages, no jobs, now what would you call it? Riots like in London convince you?

  • @henrynevins This country is in a basic 50/50 split politically, so (for argument's sake) if everyone is controlled by partisanship, then anything supported by one party has 50% opposition. You call that irrelevance? The economy is out of control, and no one is able to control it. Junk mortgages in the housing bust had AAA ratings. So much for the rating agencies. China is the biggest creditor & US is the biggest debtor - the US is AA+, China is AA- (?). US riots will include guns - wait and see

  • @TheeGhostWriter Even at a 50/50 split, there's less than a 50% elected Repub majority therefore 50% of voters have no voice. The Dem majority have no opposition, yet still demonize the minority. That's the kind of stuff average folks hate about politics. IMHO, either Obama intends to cause the US economy to crash and burn because he's a hating radical like his friend Bill Ayers & Rev Wright or so naive believing the US economy could survive excessive spending. Your right about the gold std.

  • @henrynevins You are completely ignoring the actions of state governments, and the Supreme Court. If Obama were in control, the Supreme Court would not have been able to pass legislation stating that a corporation is a "person." Here in FL, Obama sent the governor $2.4 billion for high-speed rail, creating 25,000 jobs, and the governor said "No thanks" and sent the money back. What about the stalemates of the Bowles-Simpson Commission and the "Gang of Six." The opposition have no hand in that??

  • @sitabanu Obama is half-White. Born in Hawaii, which is 1.6% White. Raised by White mother. Spent early years in Indonesia - virtually no Blacks. Went to Harvard - the bastion of White man's education in America. He is not African-American. He invited Paul McCartney to play at the White House. Cain is the White Republican's dream - a token. Cain's parents could not vote when he was born. The Republicans would shackle him if they could. Besides, Americans don't want a president w/ a pizza gut.

  • @TheeGhostWriter You speak, but there's no substance. Paul McCartney played at the Wht Hse, so what? A falsehood...Obama's "parents could not vote" - his father was a citizen of Kenya, why should he vote in the US? If his mother was a US citizen she could vote, if not naturalize then she shouldn't vote, its the law. You pull crap out of your ass. Then you blame Republicans, what the hell for? If anything Hawaii has been under Democrat control for decades. Know your history..PAL.

  • @henrynevins Ann Dunham was born in the US and was able to vote. American-born White women have been able to vote since 1920. Dunham was born in 1942. I am speaking the facts, and I do not know or care about the origin of any non-factual comments. The ultimate blame, as the US is a republic, is down to Americans who are legally able to vote, and have allowed politicians and other public servants to create the current situation. But ultimately, most Americans are too damn lazy to bother voting.

  • @TheeGhostWriter Well then why did you say "Cain's parents could not vote when he was born"? After the Civil War Black men could vote. I don't think Cain's father was pre-Civil War. The Bush tax cuts, the same as the JFK tax cuts, both got the economy booming. Even though Dems like Durbin, Pelosi, Reid, Kerry and the press smeared Bush daily, truth is the booming economy was the greatest story never told. I don't like Bush, he and his father are wimps. Bush should have spoke up, but didn't.

  • @henrynevins I am in Florida. During every national election, there are Black voters, who are turned away or somehow some way are unable to post a ballot. Black voters in the South were seriously hindered from voting, especially prior to the Civil Rights Act. There may have been a law passed for Black voting, but that doesn't mean that they were actually permitted to vote. Some Blacks were murdered so they could not vote. Millions of jobs were lost under GW Bush's watch. That is a fact.

  • @TheeGhostWriter The "Solid South" of Democrats take credit for all that. KKK started by So Dems, Repubs passed LBJ's Civil Rights Act of 1964, Dems opposed it. From mouths of Lib/Dems, Clinton to Gore about Obama "Why are you praising this guy, a few years ago he'd be serving us coffee", Dems on Condi Rice appt by Bush she's an "Aunt Jamima" and a "slave woman from Gone with the Wind, John Kerry "Only Blacks at a Repub Convention is the wait staff". Bush appted more Blacks than any president.

  • @henrynevins Because you are "running someone into the ground," and I am not, does not mean I am "praising" him. Rice was on the BOD of Exxon Mobil. One of its ships is called "Condoleezza." She was another token. Bush appointed a "rainbow" coalition - very clever political maneuver. I remember once when Powell tried to hug Bush in public, and Bush positioned his forearm so that it didn't appear that he was hugging Powell back. Boy, Dubya went "white as a sheet" - no pun intended.

  • @TheeGhostWriter

You should go ahead and get some coolade, man, you might get diabetes if you use too much sugar but that stuff you are smoking is truly turning your brain to mush.

  • Okay...Mr. Obama is an oreo-cookie. Mr. Cain is a "Jim Crow" jumping wanna-be just like the white man. Okay. Okay. Okay! You must really miss Glen Beck. Sean Hannity not doing it for you lately? O'Reilly? Please get a grip.

  • @sitabanu I only seek the truth. Consequently, all those who choose to speak untruths are the ones who need to "get a grip." I cannot listen to Hannity, Beck, or O'Reilly. If I had my way, they would all be removed from the media and hung out to dry for the malicious, bald-faced falsehoods they spread. I stated only facts to you, including the fact that Americans will not elect an overweight president. Clinton became overweight, but only after he had already been elected to the presidency.

  • @TheeGhostWriter

Exactly what is this truth you seek? You speak of the republicans putting shackles on Mr. Cain. You would hang out Hannity, Beck, and O'Reilly for spreading falsehoods. YOU SAY President Obama is not an African-American and that Mr. Cain's father was not allowed to vote. How does any of this so-called truth advance the politics in the good o
