  • Now walk into it. XD

  • Amazing...

  • I was inspired by this video to create a portal storm like thing, Nothing looks like the actual portal storm in any way, but it was several special effects, a zero grav, vortex and attraction field. Was pretty sweet. Thanks for showing us this!

  • When I watch other Gmod videos, there are always two guys with silly faces whacking each other with crowbars and stuff like that, but this is... Amazing.

  • @MrDrury27 Thank you! As fate has it, I was just thinking today about playing with the code some more. I'm probably going to shoot another vortex video tonight, where I'll implement arm4LOrdXelite's suggestion. I'll try to code saw blades that change colors like a rainbow. =)

  • @Ythyn And also, you can use codepaste(dot)net instead of pasting raw code into video description if you're not sure. I always use it when I need to share parts of code.

  • u should have made them diff colors like red blue orange yellow that wouldve looked pimp :)

  • @arm4LOrdXelite Good suggestion, I'll play with that =)

  • Nice work m8 ;)

  • sorry its not what i was going to say actually what i ment was

    how did you know this, where did you learn this ?? please tell me

  • @DrRESHES It started with getting back into Gmod after not playing it for several years. Boy things have changed. There's Wiremod and Expression2 now. While one may argue that these mods ruined the true spirit of Gmod, they also add an infinite amount of possibilities on top of the already infinite amount of things you can do in Gmod. I first played with some basic wiremod stuff just over a week ago. Making mingy turrets as you do... Then I started looking into Expression2.

  • @DrRESHES Over the past few days I learned to code how to make stuff hover above my head, listen to chat commands, spawn props, fling them around (basically making a firebombing floating drone that listens to chat commands). I was working on a new module for my drone, something to suck up other people's props with, but I didn't just want to suck it up, I wanted to throw it around too. So I used Field Generators to Attract and Vortex props. Heavy props were a problem so I added an antigrav field.

  • holy saint fuck

  • Hm, looking over my code again, I think I may need to alter the rotation in the vector. By looking at it I think it rotates between 0,0,0 and 0,1,0... I need to make it 0,0,0 to 0,180,0 and back.

    R = (0.5 + (sin(Time))/2) * 180

    That should do the trick.
