Probably not. Zinc and sulfur makes a violent reaction - sufficient to be used as propellant.

No, Isp (Zn/S) is about 30s-40s; R-Candy is about 120s-130s in real motor.

No, propellant (powder mix) is just poured in motor, and slightly pressed.
