I played this 2 years (black cartridge). I found Orchid's maximum 48-hit combo after a week in practice mode with her, to find the highest opener combo (before starting the ultra and finishing with the triple projectile). Orchid's was the only maximum I found, where you start the combo with a distant one-hit Flik Flak then LP as it allows three more Flik Flak+LP sequences afterwards without knockdown), then a charged F,B, MK then LP before the ultra combo and triple fireball. 60 hits is so fake.

i saw somebody in the arcade go 88,juss kept flippin and flippin,i asked how he did it,but he wouldnt tell me,that was before i got good at it..my max is 67 with her..this same guy then picked combo,and did somethin close to 100..i dont remember how much it was,but he did the regular killer+ultra combo,and when he hit the dude in the air,he was still hittin him,eventho he wasnt actally touching him

@demetriius3000 The guy in this video is playing the SNES version using an emulator (Orchid is limited to 48), but the Arcade version has slightly altered combo mechanics so it's possible to go much higher. And as for hitting the guy in the air, it sounds like Combo's missed Ultra, as if you perform a combo that knocks someone down, but pre-hold the button before doing the ultra combo motion, he'll punch them up and away in the air whilst still hitting.

@stuartgibb...well her limited to to 48 isnt true,cause my max was actually done on snes,not the arcade..i couldnt do anythin on arcade,after maybe 2 fighter it got too hard,thats why i said i wasnt all that good and it was before i learned how to play..i learned and mastered it once i got in on the snes.believe me,her max is def way more than 48,arcade or snes

B,F FK,QP auto double only works 3 times try to do it a fourth time and the combo ends.

Doing B,F FK, QP auto double with ender will get you max about 20-22 hits depending on ender is used, doing ultra at the end will get 36 hits.

There are ways to extend the combo legitemately, Orchid can do 48 hits as its on the combo streak.

I only believe in a combo when you can see the snes and not a emulator.

I'm more of purist retro gamer :)

Actually, you can do that sequence four times and throw a F,B+MK, QP in there and get a killer combo of up to 34 hits if you've done a combo breaker and if you only hit once with the first B,F+FK. Ending that with the ultra instead of a regular ender will get you 45 hits and then the triple juggle is how you get to 48.

If you just hit once with the first B, F+FK, then do QP for the auto double, do that sequence three more times, then do F, B+MK, QP then do the ultra.  You should get 45 hits, or 46 with the juggle.

actually the highest combo on the game is eydol's 99 hit standard combo..bf1,6,bf1,...wait then bf1 repeatedly till the hits reach 99..and i can get 49 with orchid on the stand up game..not sure about the snes though

I think the highest combo for Orchid is 50 if you use the time-out glitch and you have gotten a combo breaker.
