I love how around 2:00 the water patterns cross with the ice patterns from dungeon 5. That's the thing I loved about this game the wall glitch opened up so many graphical bugs to this game and the possibilities are endless! He shouldn't have eaten that magic mushroom he found lying around the forest! :)

If I can get the Turtle Rock's crystal without going through Turtle Rock. When I do this glitch. I can try this on either the SNES/Wii Virtual Console or even a GBA.

@alfredo6243 you do realize that this is actually more challenging with glitches... People don't do glitches like this because they can't beat it. They do this to show how certain game mechanics work, as well as entertainment.

1) Can you get the crystal of a light world dungeon to trigger this?

2) What glitch did you use on the door of the church and how do you perform it? Is it just MDR?

1. I think no. Getting a dark world crystal in a light world dungeon seems to always crash the game. If that's what you're asking.

2. Yes, it's MDR. In this case, the all directions type.

ok, but what is the fastest dungeon to hop into? because i want to do a speedrun with no sword for as long as possible. Also does it work if you have not fought that boss, as in do you fight the boss and get the crystal for whatever dungeon you were considered to be in? i know i am confusing.

You can get in there using glitches and tricks. Normally you can't get in there, but you can if you know the glitch for walking through walls.

Not true...you can glitch to get there, or you can just grab the treasures necessary to get to the dungeon. No dungeons have any prerequisites except ganon's tower and the pyramid.

I watch these MDEG videos and it surprises me how many unused rooms there are in this game. Makes you wonder how much better the game could have been if they were utilized properly.

Actually, most of the unused rooms appear to be used (via the code) for other rooms, or as templates. Very few rooms that I've seen are actually "new". The original metroid is a very different story...about half the rooms are unused were likely planned to be in the final game until it was cut short to get the game released.

whoa whoa whoa...if you would have gone up from that room with the hole in the center thats blocked off at 2:51, you would have been in gannons fight room in the pyramid. Then if you went up from there you would have beaten the game.

At least i think thats the room. You should try it.

Crashing in what way? If it's freezing when you get the crystal, it's probably because you're not getting it from a dark world boss.

They dont. Look up LttP Mirror Glitch 14. It shows you how to get the Silver Arrows & Golden Sword early. I did it & the music is just switched. not the enimies.

This is neat, but you went into Ganon's Tower to do it... so did you also glitch into the tower? Because I'm pretty sure it takes all 7 crystals to open the tower normally.

Unless you already had this crystal and obtained it again by some freak glitch in the coding when you EG'd.

Either way... this is rather interesting.

Yeah, I glitched into the tower. If you look carefully at the very beginning, you can see that the tower is still sealed.
