I missed my plane out of munich, so I took a bus here, arrived at night, didn't get to see much, walked around for a few hours in the morning and had to leave by train. It was amazing still, definately on the list of places to go back!

I loved it when i went to Wurzburg earlier this year i stayed in the hostile under the castle on the hill. It was very nice

Such lovely memories it brings back. I've been going there since the 1970s. It's such a beautiful place, Würzburg, well worth a visit, if you haven't been there.

my moms home town! I miss it! its one of the last baroque roman cities, I remember the woodline near my grandmas place on benz strasse, there were roman roads still visible on the treeline...great city very friendly

@bayoucowboy18 That's cool! I remember walking through downtown, ALOT trying to forget the Army. I wish I could go back. If I spoke German, I would consider living there. I met an American when I was there downtown, he lived there, and sold choclate chip cookies off a flat top grill for a living......... My dream job.

@bayoucowboy18 I grew up onthe lower end of the Franz Ludwig Strasse am Exerzierplatz!!!! When I was a Kid it was only 5 years after its destruction! To see it whole again is my biggest Joy! Been in America for 31 years now and always think of it!

I was stationd with the 3rd Inf Div at Leighton Barracks from Oct 1961 to March 1964. Beatiful city...great times.
