Jehu is the bomb. Out of the 19,238 views, I have almost half (kidding). Seriously, these guys lay it out, it's more of a layering of music to be enjoyed than Moshing-to..if people were layed back, sounds about right to me!! I've always hated being at shows, where you go to "listen" to the music, & get rudely interrupted by some spastic fucks...there's a place for it, & here was not the place
This show was pretty tame. Most people were just relaxing and enjoying the music. I saw them again at a smaller venue about 2 months later, shortly after the band announced that they would be breaking up, and all the guys were drinking onstage. Froberg was pretty drunk and was having trouble playing his guitar near the end. They were all a bit more crazy onstage than usual, and as a result, so was the crowd. Great show though.
And for those of you that say the sound is out of sync, you only mean by a fraction of a second, right? The original recording is like that too, unfortunately. I filmed it on my digital camera, and I was lucky that I even got the whole video. My camera memory was low, and I glanced at the setlist and saw Luau, so I deleted a bunch of pictures to make room for 12 minutes of video, because I knew it would take about that much!
I'm almost certain that the first yell of 'yeah!' from the audience in this is me.
At this show, I nearly got kicked out for having a hip-flask filled with whiskey, but Rick and Gar rescued me - Gar told the security guard "If you're gonna kick him out, you better kick me out too cos I got a bag of mushrooms backstage".
