Dan Hernandez in Fishing Tackle Needed for Catalina Island

hey dan, were guna go on a fishing trip, on the 29th this month(aug)2011, in our private 20ft boat to catalina and its our first time there, do u recommend me using these lures @ this time of the season, wat kind of fish shuld i expect? hopefully u will b ther on another boat and we can catch nice fish...thx dan

Bucktails? Wtf is this 1985? If bucktails are so hot why you using live squid? Your a sellout Dan, pure and simple....So much better gear on the market to push than this crap.

It not about when the lure came out it all about how you use it. Bucktails are awesome baits and I use them all the time, you're right they are old school, but this still work great, I use them on every trip.
