If you haven’t seen it watch “The Obama Deception HQ Full Length Version” now on youtube and (if you like it) please RE-POST to every youtube video you can find the time to. :) We need real change and it starts with getting the truth out there. Bachmann, Perry and Romney would just be more of the same..
Yes, it was better that 650,000 young men died horrible deaths. Most of which had nothing to do with slavery, especially the Irish who were pulled off the boats escaping the famine in Ireland. I think there was a better way to free the slaves than the rich sending the poor and the old sending the young to fight their war. That rings true even today, few neocons enlist or get commissioned to fight these endless wars, but they will justify them until they are blue in the face.
I love Ronnie, but some of the things he says are quite naive. I'm aware that the Civil War was not initially instigated by the slavery issue, but the dissolution of the union was not an option. The South can bitch all they want about their Constitutional rights, but if you want to argue bare-bone facts, remember that it was the South defending its 'economic' interests; not its rights. Quite hypocritical of a Texan to bare-bone the North's cause, and not expose the South's as well.
@smo699 he said there was a better way. he was not justifying either position. there was a better way than to send 650,000 kids and young men off to a bloody slaughter.
@snappa52 War is a means to end. Realism in political relations eventually boils to a point when idealism can no longer contain it. War between the North and South was inevitable, and the only question left was 'when' it would happen. I'm a libertarian, but I also understand how naive some of its rhetoric can be, and so should you.
@smo699 Nothing is inevitable, and we learn history so that we can learn from our mistakes and know the trends a society moves towards politically. We should constantly ask ourselves, "how could we have saved 650K teenagers, immigrants, and non-slave owners?" These people were not involved in that trade and deserve our consideration. The rich send the poor, and the old send the young to war. It's a racket. I'm not naive, i have ideals and so should you
When someone agrees with him he sprains his neck between blowing the agreeable guest as well as himself, but when he disagrees he gets all bent like someone popped off in his eye.
Hey Bill, don't rub the lamp if you don't like what comes out.
Maher might be the biggest sell out of the past decade. I can't believe he calls himself a libertarian while continuously supporting every government attempt to regulate businesses.
I am not in favor of bringing about the social and political equality of the white and black races. I am not in favor of making voters of Negroes, nor of qualifying them to hold office, nor to intermarry with whites. There is a physical difference between the races which I believe forever forbid the two races living together in social and political equality. There must be the position of superior and inferior, and I am in favor of having the superior position assigned to the white race
Proof that Maher is nothing but an arrogant, smug, short-minded narcisscist that closes his mind to any other offering of our history than what he learned in a fucking public highschool.
If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone I would also do that. What I do about slavery, and the colored race, I do because I believe it helps to save the Union; and what I forbear, I forbear because I do not believe it would help to save the Union.
Paul is right Lincoln was a tyrant, the civil war was about the Union not slavery. As a matter of fact Lincoln looked at blacks as subhuman and wanted to send them to Liberia.
Never liked Maher he has got that pedo smile, I'm usually able to tell with about 85-90% accuracy whether someone is a pedophile just by looking at them and I am about 90% sure he is a pedo, about a 10% chance he is just a regular gay, 0% chance that he is actally straight
bill maher is such a douchebag. i would love to stomp his face into the curb...what a shitbag, pussy. Ron Paul would crush maher's pussy ass in any debate...
Ron paul.. hmmm wish i would have followed politics earliar in the year, most def would have had my vote, still thinking about writing his name in, that or baldwin for sure.
Bill Maher is a f*cking Zionist sellout. Did it take Great Britain 100 years to end slavery? No! So what the hell is he talking about? Slavery wasn't the main reason for the Civil War, and Dr. Paul was right about Lincoln, Lincoln didn't want to go to war as a means to end slavery. Bill Maher is in sh!t list. I'm telling you, the RepubliCrats are taking this country down a dangerous path.
ron paul got shafted because he belong to the republican party. a party which recently hasn't done much good at all. i agree with his ideas and would have been willing to vote for him. its ashame that he got represented as a bit weird for his ideas (even though those ideas are what most of us preach about). i think he knew what america NEEDED. i would have like to have seen what he would have done in his term if elected. its a crime how the media represented him. thanks for leaving upto us hah!
Mahr always does this shit one of the first times Paul was on he kissed his ass he acts like he loves freedom then turns into a populist leftist ass in 2000 he told Harry Browne (the libertarian candidate) he would vote for him and the fuck ended up voting for Nader
bill maher is worth more than 50 batallions to the elites who wage psyop war against the american people thru false terror events,
popular culture, army war video games.political pundits shapeing the acceptable question and answers. and comedians feighning anger over the neocon assault on america by making fun of bushs intellect cheneys aim, condis shoes, while never breaching taboos of fascism, cfr israel,911 or nwo ,maher is a fascist mouthpiece. a contributor to the dismanteling of america .
Paul is consequent about his philosophy against violence as a way for political change, just as with Iraq, same principle. The question is if Maher would have been for violence as a way for political change, or not? Slavery was NOT the issue of the Civil War. If Maher is for violence as a way to end slavery, it would mean he is also for violence as a way to get rid of other social evils, and not reform and persuasion and by setting an example.
some one got bill mahers number what a compleat 180! wow a talk show flipfloper!
BILL MAHER HAD TO GO BACK TO THE CIVAL WAR TO DIG UP IMAGINARY DIRT ON RON PAUL!!!! its the mesage of freedom it good for the people and bad for big buisness! PRESEDENT RON PAUL!
There is a book 'The Great Conspiracy' writen by Union General, John A. Logan, copyrighted in 1885. Anyone wanting to know the whole truth about the civil war needs read this book. The truth is nothing like, what we were taught in school.
Point on! Nice work! I gotta go to the only poling station in LA County (an hour away) to submit my absentee ballot for the Republican Primaries. I registered by mail in plenty of time- guess what- Im not in their records. Have to take my reciept in person to prove it. Thanks for the inspiration to make it happen!

I initially thought Bill was a fan of Ron's. I think when he learned that when Dr. Paul would stop foriegn "welfare", it would include Israel too, he decided to turn on him. Oh well. I only liked him 'cuz he liked Ron. Another show not to watch.
You are correct, Bill Maher DID make that comment. It's funny how all of a sudden ol' Billy is using these smear tactics against Dr. Paul now. I'm with you, I will never look at Bill Maher's show again!
I never liked Bill Maher in the first place. His previous positive comments about Ron Paul surprised me and had me thinking that, well he atleast has a brain, but I was wrong.
Same here I use to watch Bill Maher, and ever since I heard him smearing Ron Paul here on youtube, I haven't watched any of his shows lately. Apparently no one has the balls or the brains to stick up for Ron Paul in the media or entertainment.
It's sad that younger politicians don't have the same wisdom; I think most people won't vote for him just because of his age.

This same interview, he asked Ron Paul about global warming and climate change.
Ron Paul talked about how unlike other theories in science, global warming is still be argued from thousands of scientists on both sides.
Bill Maher's immediate reaction was something like "NO NO NO NO NO Those scientists were bought off by big oil" and got an applause.
He's like any other blogger. He has his attitude and anyone that questions him or proves him different or wrong gets smeared.

If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone I would also do that.
