Okay please tell me you know where I can get the original piece and piano accompaniment for Trumpet so I can play this for solo & ensemble? So far every where I've looked it's been out of print.
Thank you SO much for posting this! I am learning this right now and my instructor wanted me to hear what it sounds like from another person as well as listening to her play! How perfect it's on the OBOE! :) Thanks again.
Good job! but try to take it a little slower cuz you made several mistakes. try to keep you arms away from you, they should be at a 45 degree angle, also pick up your head because you obstruct the airway when you have your chin down. but you're really good, you have a good tone good technique
My band teacher is crazy. We're playing Manzoni Requiem this year. I've only played oboe for two years so that song is going to kill me. You should check Manzoni out. It's amazing. LOL
Good job. Just something that was bothering me was that your arms were too close to your body. I have also palyed sonota 1, the first 2 movements though.
What will help you is if you get a better posture. Ideally your back should be off the chair and you bottom at the edge of the front of the seat with a straight back and you sitting up straight. Then if you raise your music stand up you will not need to be so slumped. Then your diaphram will give you a LOT of support and you can blow much stronger and lots of problems you encounter will be gone by just doing that!
:] well done. I have played oboe for one and a half years now (doing grade 8). i remember playing this piece like, last year.. i kept stuffing up the fast bits >;P ... it was soo annoying!! xD
I'm playing this song for solo contest this year in a week. If you haven't already performed this i would suggest working the sixteenths a little slower or playing the entire song at a slower tempo. a judge doesn't always look at how fast you go but how accurate your notes AND articulations are. but other than that your doing a pretty good job. I think im going to post a video of me playing here in a few days. =D
nice tone :) sounds good. someone on 8notes recommended this to me to take to solo contest so I wanted to know what it sounded like- you played it pretty well :) I hate the key of C tho- too bad its not in D-flat Minor haha!
Thank you! I'm my piano wants me to acompany an oboe player for this song, but I haven't heard the oboe part yet. This really helps. This is editted bye H. Voxman right?

(I'm french so i make a lot of false words...) i play the same and you should play it more slowly, articulate
then after more quickly. (but me, i play oboe for 7years...^^)

Nice work!
I play it myself now. And the fast notes are difficult.
But I have the exam next week.
And @ oboeplayerb My teachter always says that it's good to have your arms near your body.

Very...lacking in consistent tempo. Not bad for five years though. Pitch is sometimes off...but not bad overall. :)

wow. I've never thought about it this way. The style you play it in is waaay different from mine

It's okay, but not that amazing...
Und deine Haltung ist echt mies, setzt dich gerade hin und lerne erstmal die Läufe langsam, bevor du das schnell spielst!

I started practicing this today. I have the notes but I can't play it fast enough. I just jumble up. ARGH! So frustrating.

This is my solo for this year but i still cant play the 16nth notes that fast yet
TheDarkBlaze 3 years ago
that's really good, just the sixteenth notes could use some work, but you had really good articulation and tone
i'm playing this song right now too and that helps because now i know that i am playing the rhythms right =)

hey, i can play that sonata!
Annissa14 3 years ago
Umm, pretty sure that's the C minor sonata. Can't really go by the key signature all the time with Baroque music.
