Two key quotes from this video: "Cleaner Coal" not "Clean Coal" and "Changing the perception of coal energy in America". Hey, at least they are being somewhat honest about it.
I wouldn't have a problem with this technology if it were used to replace and/or retrofit existing coal plants. That coupled with conservation, greener sources of energy like wind, solar, and *possibly* nuclear, may just be the ticket.
But no folks, there is no such thing as "Clean coal"
If you want to see where this clean coal comes from, just google "mountaintop removal" or search you tube. And there you will see that the Appalachian Mountains are being blown apart for coal. Over 470 mountains have already been destroyed by greedy evil coal companies. Dont believe GE's propaganda, there is no such thing as clean coal.
"Clean Coal" is BULL. There is no such thing as "clean coal". All coal is dirty. They are saying that MAYBE in 20 to 30 YEARS, they will find a way to burn coal cleanly. IT DOES NOT EXIST TODAY, and this is just another way coal and oil companies are lying to the public.
We need to get the word out that coal can be made much cleaner and that it is being used today. This is one giant step toward a truly clean coal solution alternative to imported oil.
