While I'm not a fan of show band batterys, this wasn't bad. The choreography was pretty good, and most importantly they didn't over do it. Show bands suck when they try too hard. Most of these groups CANT play a corps style, it's not how they learned, and when they try to, it looks bad. And to the person who said DCI corps can't do anything exciting, I'd beg to differ, unless your idea of exciting is humping your drum, then yeah, it's not exciting. I liked this though. Good stuff.

Marching band is Sight plus sound. Challenging themselves as percussionists is a good suggestion. Degrading their style of entertainment is not. funny you say that, I wonder how you feel about corps-show style bands then... In high school our corps band got more appraisal from schools who had show style bands because our music was cleaner and the percussion parts were tighter. In college we march corps style with show elements, and still pull the crowds to standing ovations...
I personally like Corps because the fact that it's harder. I like challenges, learning the music and marching the show, and everything has to be perfect. I'm not saying HBCU is horrible, I just prefer corps due to the difficulty, and quality, and seriousness.
