I gotta say, Im a 78 Hunter(When I wrote this) And reall,y I consider myself a pro Hunter(If your gonna say other wise, dont respond to this) But really, Even I rialize War vs Hunter, first thing you do is Hammer String, or some crap like that, and if your a higher like 50-60, Just you the Chimera Shot|Scorpid Shot, to Disarm your openent,(works great on Arms Wars|Ret Paladins) But at the end of it all, It depends on if you can play your class right.

Fun sure, but really thats no bid deal. Dont mean to be rude or brag but my 19 hunter almost took a 40 hunter and has beaten many many 30+ people. You just ran in a circle and ur pet hit him. Shoothim, you probably have more health and definately hit more damage (if your a good twink) so not that great but not bad :S

Also who ever says hunter can't do PVP they are retarded. Hunters are one the best PVP Class in the game and Warriors are very easy to kill in PVP too. All you need to do is place a freezing trap on the ground and put pet on passive for a second. Then the Warrior will foolishly charge into the trap and freeze himself the all the hunter needs to do is move back and put pet on defense or aggresive and just kill the stupid Warrior.

Hunters need their range for their powers and with the new patch (don't know the name) their pets are WAY stronger then before so all they need to do is just shoot and have the pet take out the person BUT, it is different if you were a Marksman or a Survivalist then the pet is weak. So you should go BM (Beast Mastery) so that your pet can take a Warrior solo.

P.S. I did that as a 53 and 53 pet and my pet killed to 51 Warrior but it was very close if you're a BM hunter you pet will tank for you

FYI tanding in one spot is good for DPS burst, so even if you have a rogue on you, if you kill your target in 2-4 seconds with that DPS it is worth tanding still.
