I really don't think theres a way of reverting back, because it's a "console" update. Unless you were to completely erase all system settings and stuff, I'm not even sure that will work either.

do you mean your friends and stuff? You can go to Microsoft's official website, punch in your friend's gamertag and add them right from your comp. You can also add friends from matches and games you've played online, just select their gamertag and hit "SEND FRIEND REQ"

lol well both consoles are pretty sweet, the PS3 just wasn't my cup of tea. I bought the 360 because I wanted to get into multiplayer gaming with LIVE! and have some great titles like Halo 3, COD, Fable, things like that. I grabbed the Wii on launch in 2006 because it was something very different from all the current consoles that were out.

And Playstation Home is coming for the PS3, which is free; and Sony has been working on it for a long time!

A $399 price tag with only a couple big titles really isn't a bargain this holiday season. The Wii is still in huge demand and Microsoft dropped their price tag on their base units as well. If you have the money, I guess it really doesn't matter. Everyone is just copying each other. I'm actually much happier playing my Genesis and NES sometimes :D

Oh and buying an Xbox 360 now is pretty stupid, since it has reached it's maximum capacity.

I think both consoles have a long life left in them, but the 360 has untapped potential. Remember that the 360 dropped in 2005...thats almost 4 years ago and it's still churning out many great titles and drawing an incredible fanbase :D

The previous dashboard compared to this one is the same. Except they gave it a facelift. If not too late to tell you, keep your playstation 3 until you can save up again for the xbox 360. There's no point selling and buying your playstation 3 again if you intend to play some exclusive games.

Tropicana used to offer a free 48hr trial thing but they've since done away with that. It worked great because you could use multiple codes and stuff.

well you have to say the same thing about ps3 for the whole dashboard concept and push to start on the controller they even have there own version of achievements called trophies microsoft definetly messed up doing this update. xbox was originaly a gaming console but they wnat to point it toward kids and and make more of a home console. if the xbox came like this when i bought it i probably wouldnt have wanted as much. i loved the origanal dashboard.

I really wish M-Soft would have added a feature to revert back to the old dashboard. That would have been a nice touch! Now we're stuck with this futuristic splash screen that I'm not really a huge fan of. MSoft could have designed something TOTALLY NEW, off the wall and outrageous. If it didn't sit well with gamers, then fine, have the ability to go back to the orig dash. But something new is a HELLOVA lot better than ripping off something already existent

i havent been able to actually see it yet as im in nyc and coming home in a couple hours i can see in your video it has more features that remind me of the ps3 and the whole avatar thing is a little childish and as you said with switching to the original that should have been deffinetly a must if they were changing to a whole different view of ages as it was around teen to adult. i see why they would change it to more kid liking because there are alot of rated T and M games and the only E games

you make some good points, dude. I'm not really sure what Microsoft was trying to do with this new "experience" thing. I'm guessing maybe it's just some b/s to kinda spike 360 sales up for the holiday season and maybe to steal/change kids minds from getting a Wii to getting an Xbox360.

I have both consoles and each is awesome in it's own way. But I just feel like Microsoft is treading on Nintendo's market with this update. Not really a big fan and I'm kinda disappointed.
