Big B has a very sophisticated, almost British accent going on here too, but I think Ash's accent is like her nervous tick. She relies on it during American (which is foreign for her) interviews. Plus, she's INTERNATIONALLY known. She's been everywhere, so her accent probably has a taste of all of the places she's been.

People pick up accents wherever they go.

Aishwarya is a lovely girl. She's always sweet and charming, and has blended into her new family with grace. It's as though they've always been together.  Her speech sounds fine to me. If she has a slight accent, so what? We all have our regional accents. I think it's cruel to mock her for what is her own natural speech. She's a terrific dancer and I think a really good actress.

There is nothing wrong with her english. she always speaks like that from the start, so her accent has always been like that.

actually. no. aish has not always spoken like that. in her earlier interviews - when she first began acting - as well as when she had won the pageant - she never spoke like that.

Cmmon' Aish did well..infact if we can achieve and speak as she had spoken before in some international events..she is beauty and brains personified. Lets cut the hatred part and give to her what is due her . She is fantastic! I listened to some of her interview..people there is brains inside that head..go Aish! and what thanks for everything too!

And what would you know about her character? Only her close friends & family would know that. She seems very guarded...but if she doesnt want to be all bubbly and share everything with the public its fine. She seems to have healthy relations w/ her family...which most public figures do not have.

She IS speaking proper english...her grammar was right. Her accent didnt sound the like the ridiculous caricature indian accent. She sounds fine...stop hating.
