  • Great video, this really helped me with my essay. thanks :)

  • ik snap dr geen hol van!

  • Ik heb geen een fave

  • i'm studying popular music and recording at the university of salford in the UK and i am currently writing an essay on the dichotomy of hi art and low art in music and why it exists. even though this is to do with art and not music, music is still a type of art and this was very helpful in my work, it brought up many questions that i can apply to my essay and least of all i didn't expect to find it on youtube! thank you very much for this it was fantastic!

  • I'd call kinkade a bad art creator, while most respond to his work than any other. He exploits the use of aesthetic theory and of mental candy to the nth degree. Intriguing someone into remembering their past and juxtaposing warm and cools can be lovely to almost everyone except those with bad past who see it untrue. Its a wish, not reality, and shouldn't we fight for our art to reflect our reality and attempt to inspire us to do better? Instead of how things were..

  • It's really all about context and knowing the creator. Of course, in painting and drawing for instance. Knowledge of history allows the ability to discern 99 percent of the time to the degree of how great a piece of art is. And keen eye, skill. Nature law comes into play when dealing with aesthetics, but of emotion much more opinionated.

  • art has the value we are giving it, because there is always emotion put in anything created, just like with people, with land, the story behind things, just like a single pot of vegetables has a bigger worth than a big field of grass

  • ...so if a single pot of vegetables has a greater value than a big field of grass... what is the value of two pots of vegetables and how does that compare to a small field...or a medium size field...or do we not need to make value based comparisons necessarily...but just accept that each has a unique value which each of us assigns to it. Value is not necessarily about economy, but about traits, characteristics, qualities, beliefs, and experiences.

  • And Stravinsky would say that, " Mediocre artist copy, Great artists Steal".

  • This is a wonderful video, you don't often cite youtube as a source of artistic philosophising, but I am delighted to see there is a home for it. Your view point is extremely well found and is put forward elloquently and in a way that has helped give me perspective on such a topic in my class at current.

    Thank you!

  • This is incredibly interesting. Thankyou. The philosophy of art is a subject for much discussion, and I was pleased to find your insights refreshing and thought-provoking. Thankyou for sharing this.
