The Federal Reserve Bank is not even part of the government. It is made up of banks and corporations. So when you see the Fed bailing out a bank or corporation, it would be like you printing money and giving it to yourself.

I legally own some contemporary counterfeit notes. The original notes are no longer legal tender. (Simply google "Identifying A Contemporary Counterfeit Note" and you will see them). Sometimes a counterfeit is worth more than the original note.

As the government keeps making bad financial decisions perhaps then the US dollar will no longer have a value (Not even a fiat one). It will then be legal for numismatists to own counterfeit US notes too.
