  • I think the young woman is absolutely gorgeous! the wheel is nice as well.

  • I would love to break all glass, and then mixy it very well and then connect all them as a 3d pazzle!

    crazy?

  • I'll bet you could spin straw into gold with that wheel- it's mesmerizing.

  • Very beautiful.

  • OMG !! How WONDERFUL !!!!!!!!! I am breathless !!! What a work of impossibility !!

  • Voi jösses sentään... Vetää hiljaiseksi...

  • Incredible! I would love to try this wheel!

  • What a stunningly beautiful piece of artwork! What a pleasure it would be to see it in person. Really like the close up portiions of the wheel in motion. Nice work!

  • Awsome!!!

  • No comment is all i can give it...

because it is SO DAMNED COOL !!!

  • Very pretty, but hard to see how it works with all the transparency of the glass and the speed of the turning parts.

    Beautiful.

  • I am a lover of scientific glassware, Geissler tubes, crosses of fine art and functionality in glass. This piece is unbelievable! The glassblower, Mr. Paiko, seems almost magical in his ability... This looks like a scene from some sort of fairy tale dream.

  • Amazing..... I saw one of these up close in Portland.....Amazing!

  • AMAZING!

  • Wow, now that is a true fairytale spinning wheel. The skill involved to create this piece of art boggles the mind. It's beautiful.

  • That is absolutely amazing.

  • That is absolutely gorgeous. How was using it compared to a wooden spinning wheel?

  • OMG, it's so shiny! I want one...

  • that is just stunning. i could sit and watch it all day. The wheel is like a wonderful snowflake!

How amazing that you can make such fairytale things!

  • This is a beautiful work of art! Well done! I wonder if anyone would be so kind to answer some questions I have. A few months ago I rescued an abandoned dog near a rubbish depo. She had been very mistreated but now she's better (you could check her youtube-video under my name). She's a serious condition which eventually might let her totally/partially unable to walk unless she undergoes a very expensive surgery. My idea is to sell her fur as yarns in order to raise money to pay for her surgery.

  • my rescued husky sheds her fur twice a year. It is A LOT of coat. Beautiful and extremely warm fur. Does anyone know if it is possible to to do that? Is it difficult to do that? Where could I find someone to help me? Could I do it myself?

  • YES!! I have wool that I have blended with Wolf Fur. Lots of folks use dog hair ~ it might make a nicer yarn with more body if blended.

  • I've spun my dachshunds undercoat and the hair of my girlfriends dog, a poodle mix, lovely curls. I used a drop spindle which will take forever but was a nice experiment.

  • Andy,

I'm so glad you found a spinner to demo your wheel! The Wheel is just magnificent!!

    Nikki

  • Stunningly lovely. I love it as an artist, and as a spinner. Absolutely stunning!

  • Does it spin fiberglass?

Amazing work Andy. I'd love to see the video in higher resolution.

  • i'm pretty sure i've never met (or ever heard of) another glass blower this talented. next, he needs to make a car engine out of glass.

  • Holy mother-of-all!!!!
