you have been the only one to mention that 2nd printing! I was more excited to pick that up than the hardcover book on Wednesday. Amazon has the pre order price for the HC at about $30, Im just wondering why their release date is 2 weeks later? oh well, if Amazon gets it in i will have another copy coming in the mail...hopefully its shrink wrapped so i can just keep it mint.

Sweet dude! i was thinking of ordering that one form IDW, but i also have another copy of this on pre order from amazon and 3 copies of the same book would be crazy, even for me lol.

BOught this and volume 2 on amazon. Really excited for them. They're much cheaper. You save like 20 dollars which is crazy! I think the first volume is being shipped Nov. 29. Don't quote me though. Cool video!

Pretty sure they ship on Dec 6th. I also have a copy on pre order from amazon. I just got nervous that amazon wouldnt ever get it. 2 weeks late from release is a long time and somewhat sketchy, and I wanted to make sure i got one...I also like to support my local shops. If i get my copy from amazon It will just go into my collection as "brand new/never fanned". The last tmnt hard cover from mirage was a $50 book and now sells for BIG MONEY.

That just blows me away! So is that the first comics in hardcover? Wow!! I gotta add this to my xmas list if I can :) Wish it was like 10 issues though. Cover loks amazing

Yeah its the very first 7 issues ever published, plus the Raph one shot which is the first appearance of Casey Jones. My friends are all wondering why i bought this as i already own all the single issues. lol. I was more excited to pick up my 2nd printing of TMNT #1 than this collection, seeing as that issue was only released one month after the first printing and is still quite rare. The cover is beautiful on the collection though. Thanks for always watching dude.

The answer in short is TMNT was a self published/indy book, meaning that if an issue was 40 pages it was 40 pages of story and no advertisements. The 7 books included range from 37-40 pages each, and there is also the Raphael one off story that is another 25 pages. All 8 books and some annotations/sketches from Peter and Kevin clocks this book in at 319 pages. Well worth the $50 at retail seeing as your average Marvel comic that sells for $3.99 and averages maybe 20 pages of story.

This is a collection of the very first TMNT comics from the 80's. The new series will only be at 4 issues come next wednesday.
