For me Trevor is the epitome of how a euphonium player should sound, and a cannier fellow you couldn't meet. Trevor is probably my most important euphonium inspiration, I just wish there were more recordings of him out there.
A few years back I asked him who he was playing for and in return he asked me who would want a 70 year old euphonium player...... well sounding like you Trevor quite a few!
met Trevor on a number of occasions and the funniest thing he ever said to me was if i ever came off EEb bass and went onto euph i would be dangerous. i did a few years later and managed to get to the finals playing top euph at the area with the foresters band. The man is superb. i first saw him when i was 11 at kildare street sally army hall in leicester where he played a solo with the GUS band and from that day i was hooked on banding. A lovely unassuming man to boot.
After all these years I've never heard this bettered, absolutely brilliant. An unbelievable musician and true gent. Thanks for all your guidance through the years Trevor.
