Shelly Winters is terrific in this movie and deservedly won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar. Winters certainly played against type as she was politically liberal in her real life. Her racist screen character inspires much emotion from the audience. We love her comeuppance.

I love this movie, I saw it when I was about 8 years old and I totally loved it. Sidney Poitier was sooo good and so was the female lead, but I can't remember her name!! Brilliant film!!

The problem is i live in Russia and i haven't met a person ,who have ever heard about that film. I saw it on the cabel TV on TCM.i didn't find it in the internet,that what i've found wasn't available for russians... Please download the whole movie?or maybe someone can share it somewhere and send me a link...

Because i'm even not able to buy a dvd, i think we simply don't have it in Russia...
