It seems to me that during this interview he was not on drugs. He looks very anxious and i know he took anti anxiety medication which he must not have taken before this interview because he was very fidgety.
omg first its Bob Dylan not dillon. and yes he might be on drugs because at this time he had some kind of sleep disorder and took a lot of pills but i dont think you can see this on the interview...
I just like to say aside from that stupid argument going on, from a law enforcement point of view you can tell he's an addict, arm movement, fidgety, lip licking, talking 300mph, eyes seem dilated. Very sad but jack warned him "the joker is an extreme personality, do not let it consume you, your the actor you control the character." to everyone sadness he did not take jack's advice to heart.

Looking back at this now, it's so hard to believe that this man, who looks like one of the nicest guys you could have ever met in Hollywood, is the same man who played The Joker. It's almost surreal.
Rest in peace, Mr. Ledger. Thank you for giving us one of the most, if not the most, iconic villain performances of cinema history. That Oscar was yours even before your death. You are deeply missed. But like you said, The Joker was "the most fun you've ever had, or probably ever will have."
He is also doing what someone who is severely sleep deprived would do. The joker was an insomniac, while trying to regain hold of normalcy after a role like that would be very difficult, difficult to get into normal sleeping patterns. He looks to me like someone who's trying his best to keep himself awake during this interview. His focus remains in front of him throughout the interview, not typical of someone who is using drugs. He also speaks the way someone who chooses words carefully would.
Some of these comments make me laugh and make me sick at the same time. He was simply an actor who was also a druggy that died. I hate how people try to make famous dead people into some kind of super humans after they die. He was a good actor but so are alot of people. It's not the most difficult thing to do in the world.

You don't have to know him, you just have to know what it's like being a drug addict. Trust me. How he's moving around, especially with his arms means he's probably an addict. Regardless, he was one of the best actors ever and his role as the Joker was probably the best performance in the history of acting. That man was a genius.

In this interview he is not fidgeting because he is nervous naturally, I'm a nervous person too but after a while of taking drugs (recreationally) I noticed that my body started doing the same thing.
He is doing what anyone would be doing if they were on a heavy amount of opiates whether it be oxycontin, vicodin, or oxycodone. I am in the med...field and we are trained to spot the signs of opiate abuse. When you take them, you feel like u have creepy crawlies on you or you itch alot, and you also forget your train of thought which he does in this video quite a bit..

I didn't get into the drugs though. It turns out Heath OD'd on prescriptions, so I was wrong about the type of drug, but those pills are really bad too. He was an amazing talent. It's really a shame. I really liked him in The Patriot and I have to admit, in his interview for that movie he was figity also. So, my apologies.

Looking back at this now, it's so hard to believe that this man, who looks like one of the nicest guys you could have ever met in Hollywood, is the same man who played The Joker. It's almost surreal.
Rest in peace, Mr. Ledger. Thank you for giving us one of the most, if not the most, iconic villain performances of cinema history. That Oscar was yours even before your death. You are deeply missed. But like you said, The Joker was "the most fun you've ever had, or probably ever will have."

He is also doing what someone who is severely sleep deprived would do. The joker was an insomniac, while trying to regain hold of normalcy after a role like that would be very difficult, difficult to get into normal sleeping patterns. He looks to me like someone who's trying his best to keep himself awake during this interview. His focus remains in front of him throughout the interview, not typical of someone who is using drugs. He also speaks the way someone who chooses words carefully would.

Some of these comments make me laugh and make me sick at the same time. He was simply an actor who was also a druggy that died. I hate how people try to make famous dead people into some kind of super humans after they die. He was a good actor but so are alot of people. It's not the most difficult thing to do in the world.

You don't have to know him, you just have to know what it's like being a drug addict. Trust me. How he's moving around, especially with his arms means he's probably an addict. Regardless, he was one of the best actors ever and his role as the Joker was probably the best performance in the history of acting. That man was a genius.

Quit blaming all of these things on the dreaded "JOKER" role. it had nothing to do with the character itself. It's just when you work that hard on any role...repeat...ANY role...and try to party hard on the side...it never ends well. His drug habit it and his ignorance on his own mortality played a part in his untimely death, it doesn't make him a bad person at all. All of this caused the result...and noithing more. He was just a poor, naive, aussie kid who liked to smoke a little weed and do a little coke....who came to hollywood where you can get any drug you want...in any amount...even go to a party and his friends say, "Come on man, do some FREE drugs with me". He burned the candle at both ends....and this is what happens. We're not hurting his image more than he already has. He was a promising actor (not great, some people put him on a pedestal next to Jesus), and a sweet kid who got caught up.

Everyone I've seen commenting is not an idiot, they're just ignorant. 1st. The joker role didn't kill the man, his mixture of 8 different types of perscription drugs killed him on top of everything else he was doing. 2nd. In this interview he is not fidgeting because he is nervous naturally, I'm a nervous person too but after a while of taking drugs (recreationally) I noticed that my body started doing the same thing.

He is doing what anyone would be doing if they were on a heavy amount of opiates whether it be oxycontin, vicodin, or oxycodone. I am in the med...field and we are trained to spot the signs of opiate abuse. When you take them, you feel like u have creepy crawlies on you or you itch alot, and you also forget your train of thought which he does in this video quite a bit..

But after he did the movie Candy (a movie about a heroin addiction), he checked himself into rehab for the drug itself. And a day after he died, a video of him taken months before shows him doing coke with some friends...but in the end, so what? Again, just because you do drugs doesn't make you a bad person. Nothing in moderation is bad, but when you do things in excess that's when you play with death.

@Chan3lprincess16 Yea, I don't get on here very often. I'm not a doctor, but I've been around a LOT of people on drugs. I was in a rock band for 20 years, I've seen it all. I didn't get into the drugs though. It turns out Heath OD'd on prescriptions, so I was wrong about the type of drug, but those pills are really bad too. He was an amazing talent. It's really a shame. I really liked him in The Patriot and I have to admit, in his interview for that movie he was figity also. So, my apologies.
