  • Was Le Tiss ever a youngster?

  • he could only score bangers..

  • @t2p yes he did score alot of bangers but he ripped defences apart with his skill u should watch more of him then you will see

  • @factoradam i meant it as a compliment...I watched most of his run....awesome talent...

  • id forgotten just how good this guy was

    Saints through n through

  • Matthew Le Tissier is my hero

  • Weird how they always say England lacks creative flair players, yet Matt and Gascoigne were left at home in '98. By Hoddle of all people.

  • I was wandering i have been looking for a while but there are no clips of his goals from corners if anybody knows please let me know.

  • The one penalty miss was against Nottingham Forest's Mark Crossley. However, he did make up for it later in the match by scoring the rocket @ 0:36 in the video.

  • he missed 1 penalty and scored the rebound

  • @factoradam which goalkeeper saved the ball from Le Tissier?

  • Southampton legend

  • he is a true le god

  • THE best player ever in the Premier league except THE GOD Paul Mc Grath.

  • im LIVERPOOL FC supporter...but this players is gr8.we all have to admit it

  • Did he ever miss a penalty??

  • One underappreciated fact about Le Tissier was how many of his great goals were scored away from home. He also scored a hat trick at Norwich once. I never supported Southampton but used to go and watch them purely to see Le Tissier.

  • 49 penalties 1 miss. what a legend!

  • if Le Tissier was Brazilian I'm sure he would have been accommodated in the team. Apart from Gascoigne, the only England player in recent memory to have genuine flair and world class natural ability. I wonder what England would have achieved had he been given the opportunities.

  • u no that mate. but the english teams are run by complete tossers. had he played for man utd, arsenal or liverpool. hed of been in the squad an much more recognised! the countries football team are a joke!!!

  • did he ever miss a penalty?

  • @BarkyBoyXS He did miss one

  • @naenshaen he missed one

  • what a great saints player he made us a club

    southampton best club ever !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Lots of players score one or two great goals but it's seldom to see so many unbelievable goals by one player. And such an elegant player too.

  • Matt le tissier was a legend, i would have loved for him to come to man united

he was just maybe abit lazy, but what a penalty taker and england seem to loose every cup to penalties so could have done with him

Some Amazing Goals from a player who never reached his potential or was given the chance to show it properly

  • How Le God didn't play more games for england is criminal...

  • From memory scored 49 out of 50 penalties he took. One was saved by Mark Crossley, I'm trying to track it down

  • @izabelgoudie try track down some ali dia footage lol

  • and he was never called up for the national team...

what losers omg! who was better than he in england? noone?

    cheers...

  • never??? not as much as he should have maybe been called up for,

  • Yes he was called up, he played several times for England but never fitted in and I think never scored.

  • true legend.

unforgetable goal or two in there.

    nice 1.

  • its depressing to be a saints fan today and watch this now! England's best midfielder of the time!

  • brilliant compilation! great work!
