The one penalty miss was against Nottingham Forest's Mark Crossley. However, he did make up for it later in the match by scoring the rocket @ 0:36 in the video.
One underappreciated fact about Le Tissier was how many of his great goals were scored away from home. He also scored a hat trick at Norwich once. I never supported Southampton but used to go and watch them purely to see Le Tissier.
if Le Tissier was Brazilian I'm sure he would have been accommodated in the team. Apart from Gascoigne, the only England player in recent memory to have genuine flair and world class natural ability. I wonder what England would have achieved had he been given the opportunities.
u no that mate. but the english teams are run by complete tossers. had he played for man utd, arsenal or liverpool. hed of been in the squad an much more recognised! the countries football team are a joke!!!
Was Le Tiss ever a youngster?

Weird how they always say England lacks creative flair players, yet Matt and Gascoigne were left at home in '98. By Hoddle of all people.

Lots of players score one or two great goals but it's seldom to see so many unbelievable goals by one player. And such an elegant player too.

Matt le tissier was a legend, i would have loved for him to come to man united
he was just maybe abit lazy, but what a penalty taker and england seem to loose every cup to penalties so could have done with him
