The LYRICS in this Punjabi GEM of Bulleh Shah have such deep philosophic meaning of Sufi humanistic approach to life, sung SO beautifully, one can't but be mesmerized at the awesome taans, awesome cadence of the Waladi Brothers in unison!

Poignant poetry that suggest, & urges us to have that sweet, accepting, & caring humanistic approach to life. :)

(Am humbly thankful to have known, & know such sweet, genuine folks out of the rare few. :)

The relationship with an estranged friend. Imagine how strange and great an act that Bullah actually joins the dancing group, learns to dance and dresses like a "kanjri" and dances in front of Shah Inayat so that he could win back the friendship of an estranged friend. What greatness and simplicity. That is why I consider Bulleh as the greatest poet and philosopher of the last 1300 years. Milahi

Wadali brothers have sung a very great qawwali. Bulleh Shah has given the highest philosophy in his poetry. He selects a subject that needs change and fearlessly takes his readers to the correct path. "kanjri bane meree izzat na ghatdi" "nachkey yaar manawan they" etc. Gives respect to a poor dancing girl and puts her at par with the rich; elevates dancing to the highest level as it is done to please and repaire
