I also want to buy a HK-450 from Hobbycity but i'm confused because they have several HK-450 such as the TT pro, GT pro belt-drive, GT full Alloy etc...
If you know the difference between these helis please help me pick one!
theres not much difrence exept some have full alloy parts and revised designs
like the v1's has issues with tail pulley's and stuff, the v2's have been fixed with upgrades where they failed on the v1's
the gt versions are fully upgraded with aloy head and tail ready for aggressive 3d flyers, the plastic models are aimed at beginners with cost effective in mind, to get people over the learning curve
@Nicolasr1, yes, larger pinion or higher Kv motor would increase headspeed. For these 450 type heli's they run well with anyhting from 3250Kv to 4000Kv using 9-14 tooth pinions. Basicaly you want to creat enough heaspeed for the type of flying your doing without stressing or overloading the motor. This particular set up looks spot on and very well balanced.
Nice flying, two thumbs up!!!

love the flying, and the sound. thanks

How can it fly with 200watt motor. Most 450 has 500 watts motor.

Love that canopy! I'm contemplating on buying one, but there are two versions (GT & MT) so must do some research!
But....I'm definitely getting a shark canopy!

headspeed looks fine. don't touch it.

I second that, thats the way you want the headspeed, for nice positive control like your getting there.

@modelmechanix just noticed ur taking about head speed. how would you change head speed if u needed to? smaller pinion? or ?
Nicolasr1 2 years ago
Maybe :) This is my first heli, I don´t know how headspeed si ideal for my type of flying...

@pajlotmato2
if you have a programmable tx you can lower or raise headspeed to desired needs
the faster you make it the more nimble but stable it becomes, but it wil get faster forward flying than normal settings
the aim is to balance headspeed and performance to your flght style
ie if you are stil hovering and slow FF then a reletavly low headspeed is what you need,
too high and you can over heat the esc due to lack of air flow
but 6 months on i bet you have this nailed already :)

headspeed too high for this type of sport flying.
