My mother (Vicki Kennedy) led this song for the New Hope MBC Inspirational Choir Anniversary in 1990 and they KILLED it every time they sang it....sounds just as good today as it did then thanks for the post!!

My grandmother Marie Gordon use to sing this at Antioch M.B. Church-New Chicago, Inc., in Memphis, TN. I use to love to hear her sing it and get happy. God bless us all & that light we have in Jesus! I think its a pretty true song, too.

I was blessed to hear the FMC today at a benefit for one of it's founding members,Rev.Arthur Bryant. They had not officially sung together since 1994 but it was just like old times, they turned it out!

This used to be my favorite song back in the day. Jeffery Hastings used to sing it at Cowan Street Missionary Baptist Church in Nashville,tn. He used to tear the church up everytime he sang it.

Our choir at 1st Baptist of Progress Village in Tampa used to sing this all the time. I think Michelle Sanders used to lead it. Well, we had some singers then. Now I can't find a note carrier.

I grew up listening this song. The Florida Mass Choir should come back and do a reuion album. The same goes for the other Gospel Artist that stopped recording. I had to special order the cd because it wasn't in the music stores.

This is sister Deloris Cain .we did one reunion in Atlanta we sang our buts off.I guess the time we spent apart has hurt our needs or desire to sing again. i was in my 20's when this was done I'll be 51 this year.

I love this song. As a little girl back in the day, yes in Mississippi, choirs could really get a message across thru singing His praises!!!!!!He Is the Light That Shineth in Me!!!
