I seen 1 of these in Brandon,Manitoba's CN yard had same shape but not a caboose frame. It had big side wings. My dad knew a person that runned this CN plow. His name was chuck. My dad worked with MOW (maintenance of way) He liked the kershaw the best he said
Youtube is getting alot of heat from record companies because of copy rights. So they gave me 2 choices scrap the video or change the music from a list they say we can use. I've had to do this with 3 or 4 of my videos now, it sucks.
@hogger01 hey hogger I have noticed people make sure to put in the copyright info for a song with the artist info, record label and state that all rights are reserved by them. And put that in the video info seems to be enough they can get away with using copyrighted songs.
man!!! incredible, big equipment. . . here in Brazil we didn't use because we don't have snow. . . but oh it becomes indispensable! ! ! great video. . . congratulations
I worked on the Belfast and Moosehead Lake Railroad for 23 years, up until 1992. We had a snowplow nearly identical to the one in this video, even to the paint job. The BML bought it from the CP. 1926 sticks in my head as the year it was built.
Love the music and words with it. My late grandad was a New Naven fireman a hundred years ago and made $2.10 a day. He loved every minute of it. Long live " Snow Plow Extras "
awesome video good that it still has the canadian pacific paint with the ovr decals on it too bad the class ones cant learn from shortline keep whats working.
We run from Smith's Falls to Cartier Ontario. This video was taken on the Temiscaming Sub., a 40 mile branchline between Mattawa Ontario & Temiscaming Quebec.
That looks like a Russell snow plow to me. I scrapped one just like it for The Iowa Interstate Railroad 8 years ago. It was a former Rock Island plow. I still have the builder's plate off it! Nice Vid!
Many thanks for the upload of this video, oh, and the music is pretty cool as well!
Take care,

Neat that these are captured in time with these images. Never saw how it was done.

That's an early model Russel Plow. The newer ones were about 10 feet longer. My video responses will show the newer model on the sides really good.

Have you changed the music to this vid , was it not railroad worksong before ?

Hi Zand3r73.
Yes I changed the music, NOT by choice.
Youtube is getting alot of heat from record companies because of copy rights. So they gave me 2 choices scrap the video or change the music from a list they say we can use. I've had to do this with 3 or 4 of my videos now, it sucks.
