God! This video made me cry, I can't say how happy I feel because of the open source technologies and the efforts to make technological improvements to be in the reach by everybody. Thank you for sharing!
as a visually impaired person myself, i hate the first few seconds of the voice over. consider re-writing it, because it comes across as insulting, not helpful
I agree. Although I found a lot of the narration very amusing for that reason: "a totally visually impaired person".
Or at the end the narrator leaves us in deep contemplation with: "it was we the normally sighted people who have been blind throughout to the wonders of Open Source technologies on the Linux platform".
The elevator music also give this video a lot of character.
But seriously, it is really great to hear about deployments of Orca around the world.

The narration did sound rather condescending.

I beleave this is a very good iniciative but the voice over ruins this presentation; for gods sake:

Yeah, it's all "Ha, you can't see this. And WE call YOU, THE MINORITY"
Like, stop being a jerk, narrator.

This is wonderful.
I'm also VI, and want to move to linux, but couldn't find a good screen-reader.
This sounds like it will work.
It sounds like the eSpeak API.
Correct?
Thanks for sharing.
