Robot Wars in the US is basically the same as in the UK. Same arena, same house robots, but Mick Foley is the host :P
They just had the RoboOlympics in California a few days ago. Robot combat, sumo, best of show, etc. Last time I heard 340 pound robots were hitting the ceiling!!

Yes. Firestorm has one of the lowest wedges in history, and in this, Hypno-Disc can get underneath it. Same goes for Razer.

Yeah, we had something like that here in Britain. It was called TechnoGames, but it only lasted about four years. It was quite good though.
There was one event where you fired a rocket into the air with an egg attatched & you had to crash-land the rocket without breaking the egg!!
