Short sprinting DEFINITELY helps a lot. I recommend everyone to play tag with their friends outside. It is a heck of a workout, specially for the average person.
Yuri, you said running at high intensity for longest is better... However in your mentioning of one of the studies done (can't remember which video and which study specifically) you said that people who did something like 10 seconds high intensity, 22 second rest did way better than people who did the same ratio but ran for a longer time at high intesnity. This slightly conflicts with what you are saying here. Which is it?
this guy's tips are great for anyone who wants to burn fat and live a healthy lifestyle. I've taken advice from his videos when I've hit plateaus and it always gets me out of them.
Hello, I'm 15 years old and I started doing interval training yesterday. I do interval training for 20 minutes( 15 secs at 6 speed and 15 secs at 4). My goal is to burn my chest and belly fat so I can have a six pack. What do you recommend?
i don't see the point in having a higher rest to work ratio the idea is to gain back that atp without buffering lactic acid so resting for longer than you work defeats the purpose of lactic acid production which precursors to all the effects you want from interval training, 2:1 work:rest is a good ratio imo back in my track days 200 repeats were a big part of my 800-1500 conditioning and that will generally mimic a 2:1 ratio if you cut across the track and back to the start with a slow jog.
@stamford98singhm It doesn't really burn muscle as long as you're not doing for hours on end on an empty stomach. The only way to prevent muscle loss is by weight training and strengthening your muscles.
@yelkaim1 Cheers mate .. also man i was wondering i do interval training x3 times a week. I do 1 minute sprint and 30 seconds recover. The sprint is on 7 mph and the recovery is on speed 4 mph. Is that good for fat loss ?

what do you think about something like running 8mph on the treadmill for 1 minute and slow down to 4-5 mph for 30 seconds and repeating?
