  • Respond to this video...

  • This guy is brilliant!

  • He told us that bullet points and headlines are inferior for presentations... he presented that information in the form of bullet points.

  • @instereovideos

A VC presentation bud. This was an informational presentation.

  • @AnimalPak08 don't get mad.

  • I really need this to pitch my VCs within 24 days..thanks so much..it was very useful..

  • @icommand may i ask what business sector are you in??

  • @aotule now I am a masters degree student in Computing was in IT sector before that.

  • @icommand are you starting your own tech company?

  • @aotule yes..I am trying to...

  • this is an amazing video, very helpful and totally succinct.

  • calm down, breathe, close your eyes, empty your mind, feel your body...

    otherwise you'll get ill !

  • learned a few things but man.. he needs to chill and talk a little slower despite the time constraint.

  • he's trying to keep it under 18mins.

  • He's a bit annoying, but that's because he's on a timer (15 min).

He also didn't suggest the dumber the idea the better it is. On the contrary, he say that vision and realism is key @ 4:25. Stupid ideas have no vision or realism.

I thought it's informational. Well, to each their own.

  • The vid is about what to include and how to when asking VC for money and he made an exellent summary of that.

It's hard to realise that people you think is inferior to yourself actually is superior, right? You have the opportunity to learn from that in stead of other things. Take that opportunity.

His method was asking VC for money. Punching people for money is another method. If that is what you do maybe you should put up a vid showing it?

  • Things I know about both of you; you don't know the difference between "your" and "you're"

  • Instead of writing all that BS, people should use this video to actually learn something. You can even use this for your presentations in school.

What you give is what you get.

  • Where was this guy when I needed him in 2005?

  • Charm school =P

  • Very useful video.

  • VC? Voluptuous Candyman?

  • The irony makes me laugh, where he slams Bill Gates' pitching technique whilst praising Steve Jobs....all the while he talks about (and talks with) Power Point presentations...a Microsoft product. So to me, in the eyes of a VC, the most powerful thing to get their money is have a GREAT idea about a product or Service that people will demand.

  • These 10 words is not only to know. Maybe to have..XD

  • He is most likely speaking fast because he is under a specified time constraint.

  • Probably also because he's a finance gun.

    Most financiers talk that way.

Buffet's about the only one that doesn't.

  • @rosamond2009 I think he just talks fast in general

  • It feels like this video is stuck on fast-forward. I don't know what tools he's using to pace himself, but he definitely needs to upgrade to something that can help him slow down. He's NOT pitching to VCs right now; he's explaining something to a classroom audience.

I'm just glad my computer isn't broken because I seriously thought the speed of the video playback was off. Now I see it's just him! :) All kidding aside, the info in the video is ok... provides at least some useful guidance.

  • VC? Venezuelan Cook?

  • Venture Capitalist.

  • Boring isn't the money world the biggest sham in the world? ?

people playing monopoly in the boardrooms of the nations of the world. Brains were give to help one another, this about ripping others off, instead of operating as nature does: at optiMum capAcity on minimum effort for maximum ALL ROUND BENEFIT.

  • LOL!! niiiice!! BAM BAM BAM BAM !!!! OOOOH YEAHH! TENS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS!!!! BOOOOOOM!!!! hehehehe, seriously it's pretty nice to hear a guy talk so fast. and what he's saying is really true. ADD-VERTISEMENT hehehe, that's how it works---read the tipping point by gladwell, it's pretty good!

  • To those dissing capitalism.

Let me try to understand your position.

People offering other people things they can refuse = EVIl.

    and

People forcing others to pay for their services (government) = GOOD

    Is that right?

  • I agree, the problem is that capitalism is just so susceptible to corruption and powerful control...

  • Great video, strange that he did not himself use only images etc. But very good info never the less. Thanks for posting,

  • What would be an image for integrity? A brick wall or huge X'ed-out Enron logo? Lol.

  • So basically, keep things dumbed down and pretty, people will spend more if you can keep their attention without making them think very much. Anything that can draw their attention away like a lecturn, or the color of your shirt or a typo will send them off to la la land. I think this should be called. How to pitch to a VC with ADD.

  • VC = W C

  • but I like the Vegan Commander thing better, lol

  • "but I like the Vegan Commander thing better, lol"

He did look a bit meat deprived didn't he? I don't think I could trust anyone with large sums of money that isn't even on my level of the food chain.

  • classic

  • VC = Venture Capitalist, basically people who invest in new businesses

  • VC=Villains on Crack.

  • VC = Vietcong

  • VC? Vegan Commander?

  • This video is not meant for plebs.

  • I could only get through two minutes of this. So, what's a VC?

  • Venture Capitalist

  • TED could at least type 'venture capitalist' in info or Tags to give us all a hint what he's talking about right off.

  • this guy should be the windows guy on a mac commercial lol

  • This is good advice for anyone trying to sell something

  • Another great video

    Cheers!
