Actually Clay's son has a mom and a dad. Clay and his son's mother,who is also his best friend, share a home and are raising their son together. So - Clay's son only has one dad and one mom. Parker is a very lucky little boy!!

AND vjohnson, many hetersexual couples can NOT get pregnant unless it is via IVF. I know many couples who did NOT conceive their children in the 'normal' way due to inability to conceive that way. My hairstylist, yes is gay, just had a son via his 'best female friend'. The sperm was from him and the eggs from an egg bank. The surrogate mother is NOT related to the baby she delivered for her great friend, my hairstylist. He will be raising the baby with his partner. I am very happy for them.

And that may be true (not the 'PR' part-Clay does have many dear friends, male and female); but do you really think, if Clay IS gay that his 'coming out' now is smart for him? I think Clay is in a Catch-22 and it is the attitude of many who are homophobes that just may be holding Clay back. I am a great fan of Clay's. I think he is one of the greatest performers we have or have had. I have seen him live on stage many times and very few can compare.

Clay was on Paxil, but has long since stopped taking it. I do agree that Clay has had some 'quirks' lately and can put his foot in his mouth at times; but that is his personality that can be exaggerated by the media and all the attention he does receive. Many find Clay's quirkiness 'endearing' and some feel he needs to think before he 'does' sometimes. I am in between. There can be no reason why his career can not last as long as Tony Bennett's, Johnny Mathis', Frank Sinatra, etc.

A tortured person? LOL. He was on paxil for a short time but has been off it for quite awhile.  I'm always amused by assumptions about him. I'm on paxil but am not a tortured person. People he met while in Spamalot, from actors to crew, made comments that he's just a regular guy, and is naturally funny and nice to everyone. Most of the media hasn't a clue about him. They print what sells, which is mostly negative crap.

Clay Aiken has an incredible voice and produces such beautiful music to listen to. That's what he has given the music listening world. Music. According to his CD sales he has succeeded. Celebrity or not, he doesn't owe anyone an explanation for when, how or why he is a father. So sad, so much criticism.

Jason: there are many children born of heterosexual parents who are NOT in a 'wholesome family'. Gay people can raise a child just was well as heterosexual people can and can also have problems raising that child just as heterosexual parents do. u know i think it was a dumb idea to just agree to have a kid. He's gay right? and i'm not saying he cant have a kid if he's gay. and even if he isnt I think its very difficult to try to raise a kid when knowingly you start off not together, dont you think Parker will question why he doesnt have a wholesome family? and iknow everyone will say that they'll make good parents and yatayata but I dont see it working out. people do it all the time it just seems like a selfish move.
