  • There doing a toy story 3 next year which Jim Varney was involved in. He did the voice of slinky the dog. Never thought they would do another one since he's sadly gone. It would be sad without him when the film comes out. Great video RIP Jim.

  • I graduated Lafayette just like Jim. It is sad that he is not around to envision his success. Jim, you finally made it, even in spite of Lafayette. That is an acomplishment in it'self! The Beeler theatre misses you.

  • Great tribute to Ernest (jim varney) he used to have me in stitches when i was a kid and he even did now watching this i just said to my partner it was a great shame to have someone has funny and intelligent as him to pass away so young like they say only the good die young.

  • Sweet vid.  I grew up loving Jim Varney (especially Ernest P. Worrell) and was deeply saddened when I found out he'd died.

  • We loved, and miss, Jim Varney. I saw an interview w/ him once a year or so before he died; he did an impeccable HAMLET'S SOLILOQUY!! He apparently had done some Shakespeare before he became famous as Ernest. What a talented man he was.

  • God Bless Actor/Comedian Jim Varney- May he always rest in peace in heaven. He made millions of kids happy with his signature character called Ernest P Worrell. He was a very talented man! He was also terrific as The Slinky Dog in Disney/Pixar's Toy Story. And I believe that he was born in Kentucky!
