  • Jayydubb actually passed away R.I.P

  • What kind of light are you using?

  • @jayydubb how deep of sand bed?

  • What happened to jayydubb? Wanna c how your tank is doing

  • About time 4 another update. U the mann dubb

  • Sump vid?

  • Make a tank update ASAP

  • hey i have a question for my 10 gallon quarantine tank i heard you cant use carbon filter but thats what my filter do you think im ok?

  • I just got a mushroom and green star polyp like a week or two. Its doing great! I got two clownfish today and a firefish. What should I feed them?

  • Thanks for watching dubb

  • Hay I got my clean up crew the other day. =D I am so happy. They got the tank cleaned up from all the diatoms. I even got a turbo snail that has a feather duster on it. My problem now is that I need to know how to clean the tank. Their is snail crap all over the sand. Also when should I add my first fish?

  • @travisman1994 thats awesome!... there should be enough flow to keep stuff like that suspended and not laying on the sandbed that way the filtration can catch it.. when u do a water change just suck that crap up with ur vac..just keep testing when ur levels are right its cool to add stuff!!

  • @jayydubb25 Alright cool The problem currently is that I have no powerhead near the bottom. I have like 600gph being cycled through the tank. I am most likely going to get one of those korali pwrheads or something similar after I buy some livestock. I am probs goin to get a clownfish pair and a few cheap $5 coral (I think they are mushroom corals) that I saw at a local saltwater store. Eventually I want to go to a place in detroit called tropicorium(1hr away) that sells any coral frag frag - $10

  • yeah 750 gph in a thirty gallon ill try to post vids so u can check it out

  • @thedee150 cool! Using tap water will also cause major algae growth

  • Looking great. Congrats on your one year anniversary! You've come a long way :)

  • @newyorksteelo thanks for the feedback I really appreciate it!

  • my rocks are turning brown i have a cleaner crab but my rocks ar turning brown and im getting it on the side of my tank . i just have a aqua clear 70 on a 30 gallon and a protein skimmer but im stil getting the crap on the side of my tank

  • @thedee150 thanks for watching! its most likely a diatom bloom.. It happens to everyone itll pass if ur parameters are in check..do u have any flow(power heads) in the tank? Water movement is very important dead spots are bad..hope this helps..

  • Hay my saltwater tank has been running for 11 days so far. I Have diatoms building up. My pH is inbetween 7.8 - 8. The ammonia spike hit and the ammonia is now around .50 The nitrite is at about 1. and the nitrate was at like 20-40 last time i checked it. Can I add a few inverts yet? If so how many should I add? I have like a micro or mini brittle starfish that hitchiked on a life rock and it seems to be doing fine. If I cant add them yet when should i add them?

  • @travisman1994 thanks for watching! I would say let your nitrite and ammonia get down to zero do a water change and you should be good

  • @jayydubb25 Ok will do. Do you know approximately how long it will take for this to happen? Also you should make a google plus account and we can make a saltwater reef circle

  • Great update. The system is looking awesome. Glad to see everything is going well. I have a duncan that i target feed shrimp to. The thing is getting huge. lol. Talk to ya soon!

  • @adjusterfrank Thanks man! Yea lol I target feed those babies about once a week with mysis they love it! Thanks for watching!

  • have you changed the light bulbs in your fixture yet? i heard the ones that come with odyssea are garbage and most people change them after about 3 months (this is what i heard, i'm not sure how true it is). i have the same fixture for the same tank on its way in the mail along with a hang on the back protein skimmer. just gettin started on my recently crashed tank after 8 years of running it so im trying to perfect it and your videos are helpful so thanks for filming

  • @rjseratelli I now have an aquaticlife fixture. But yes the spectrum of those oddysea bulbs arent very good I replaced them with coralife 24w bulbs they're pretty cheap and have a nice color..that fixture wasnt that bad though. Thanks for watching my vids! And glad I can help..

  • very nice

  • Tank looks great. Keep up the good work and keep us posted. Can't wait for the sump vid plan on building one myself. U the mann dubb

  • @4thGloryMonday thanks alot for watching and following my vids!! the support is much appreciated.. =)

  • can u put anemones next to each other with no harm and i how long before ur clowns played in the anemones and does a star fish clean the sides of tanks . put i got green polps and one buble anemones and would like to know what others to get will post vid

  • @thedee150 I couldnt tell u I dont have anenomes in my tank. I would say research is key! Ask google the same questions...ive had my clowns for a year almost and they havent hosted anything yet..

  • Check out the Hanna checker for phos..

  • @waynecreech thanks for watching! and thats the one I want jist cant make myself pay 60 bucks for it. Lol

  • jay your tank looks awsome i dont know if you know that a frogspawn can realy stretch its tenticals pritty far i think 10'' and they have one of the strongest stings of all the corals same with the hammer so i just wanted to give you the heads up before it kills near by coral keep it far away like the other one in the front corner that sucks about our cardnel i to just had to put a fish down my powder brown tang put him in a bag then into freezer herd its better on the fish instent death bumer

  • @edgar57639 thanks far watching!! and yea i know they have a mean sting. they arent close enough to touch anything. the one i have on the rock in the middle is actually a few inches in front of the other coral but the vid makes it look like its right next to them.. i may have to move that one in the future but im not worried about it at the moment..

  • some times you have to make cruel decisions. cause if it dies behind the rocks it can mess every thing up. but you had a better first year then i did.i killed almost everything.you make me want a bigger tank feel free to check out my vids.

  • @saliva911 lol yea some times theres no choice.. my tank is only a gallon bigger? thanks for watching!!
