@pinkfloydian1957 - Thanks for the well wishes. I wish I had time to post more! I have a few request for that. This was just a video to show my guitar buddies that live afar how this guitar turned out, but I have gotten a lot of love back from it. Thanks again and I will try to post.
@jel6692 - Good luck with your next project! The one I am working on now is a red Rock-n-Roll Tele with a Bigsby and Dimarzio p'ups. I have another very expensive Strat project up after that based on the Warmoth drop-top binding body. I love the way a bound start body looks!
if you ever decide to do a blues rock ...or blues band....or maybe a savoy brown tribute band.............let me know...i play bass and sing....and i'm in lewisville.....i'm about your age...........
@RavenMadd9 Thanks for the well wishes. This guitar is great for thick slow but not as articulate for fast runs. Check ebay or craigs list, probably pick a set up for $150. Easy to install. Good Luck and thanks again.
@horsecoollover19 Hey thanks for the comments. The pickups are great for Floyd style thick tone but really only work well for smooth licks and not fast picking or runs. they don't have the quick attack for this but they excel at creamy, liquid smooth singing type solo's.
@fenderbuzz , Hey thanks for the comments. I sold this guitar and sometimes I wish I had it back. I'm working on another guitar project at the moment which is a hot rod Tele featuring Dimarzio's and a bigsby. Hope to get it up here soon for a demo. Thanks again and I will try to put some licks up on my new Greg Bennett soon.
If you like what you hear ...thats about all they do! Indeed I don't like them as much as standard single coils. This guitar is great for thick lead tone but not nearly as versatile as my AM-standard when it comes to chords and chukka chukka stuff. My current fav p'ups are the Area 58 and 61's from dimarzzio. Sngle coil tone but CLEAN! Thanks for the comments!
Yeah I love Maple necks but I have two other strats with Maple so I wanted a rosewood on this one. I think the darker rosewood sets off the light colors of the body and pickguard. Thanks for the compliments!
Nice playing I wish you could email me the settings you got dialed in on the pandora when you played this
