The tone in this video is the best way to describe depression without words. It's a lingering and draining tone. I felt like crying while watching this. Nice job, you really captured the feeling really well.
With me I never forget who I am unfortunately, but I have not been in a happy mood for a while. However, before I was really severe, I still couldn't enjoy much because I hated the person I was; the person I had become. I can't escape the painful past and it hurts to remember that I once had aspirations to pursue a Master's degree, but my misery took over.
I know what you mean about it eating away at you. I feel it has my soul. Many people who used to be in my social circle thought I could just snap out of depression. It's not that simple. I get annoyed when someone calls out of the blue & asks in a rude tone, "Are you over it yet?" I'm not, but they don't understand this pain.I have had depression since I was 13 & when I was in high school, my depression worsened because I couldn't handle harrassment from students, & body image issues.
I sooo soo feel your pain. I'm only 16 haven't laughed in like 5 years. I feel like it's eating me from the inside out, and it's just an unescabable pain. :[

I too live with sadness and much regret...I have made a mess of my life and so desperately wish I could go back and do things differently.
