  • i have a black gamecube, so the gameboy player actually looks really nice. i wish i could find the gameboy player disk, tho. >.<

  • Mine was $2.99 at a Savers/Value-Village

  • do i have to do anything else than to get gameboy game?have i do anything else someone please answer me!

  • Mine was 5$ at a thrift store.

  • Gameboy player fail?, Or Idiot Player Fail? Nice 5 min intro, Not. God damn. Get to the point. May wanna Google the next time you Don't Know something.

  • What do you expect for $12.99, sheesh .....just pick up the boot disk on eBay for $15 to $20 bucks.

  • Is that the sega CD music on the oppening?

  • @ThatMellon Yep it's the Model 2 Sega CD startup.

  • @cutemimi25 Sweet!!

  • @ThatMellon Note how he didn't have one. GG

  • Resident Evil 4 the win.

  • If you go to nintendo.com and by a gameboy player boot disc by itself for $15.00 plus shiping. I had a hard time finding it but eventualy i found it and it worked. The disk is brand new in the packageing.

  • all i can say is poor gamecube i love the gamecube i take good care of mine ps the funny thing is while im watching this im playin on my game boy player

  • So did you ever get yourself a copy of the boot disc or no MN? Its a shame they are on them little disc's because I don't think you can burn those

  • @Zenex666 No I haven't bothered. You can buy and burn the discs but you need a mod chip in the cube to run anything.

  • @MN12BIRD where can you get them small disc's and burn them in what, i would think you'd need a special burner, i got the GBP with disc for 3.99 at GS like a year ago

  • @Zenex666 No you can buy mini DVD-R's online (or in some stores) and if you look almost every CD/DVD drive has the indent to hold 3" disks in the tray. Ripping the games is the hard part but once you have the ISO burning it is easy with the mini DVD-R and of course a mod chip.

  • that is why kids 4 and under don't need a game console

  • YOU GOT A GAMECUBE FOR 12.99? or did u get the gameboy player?

  • @MegaTommy11 he got all of it for 12.99 it says in the description. this system is really cheap. i bought this for 5 dollars at a swap meet but with 2 controlelrs and 3 games lol

  • how do i fix my little bit sticky eject button without opening it because i dont have any c ash for a bit can i use compressed air

  • @IIIKASPERIII Make a security bit using a lighter and pen with a clear plastic case.

  • lolz if u pay 16 bucks gamestop and its garateed to work

  • urs dosent work as ive seen them work with no disk (gb player)

  • I recently got a used Gamecube and the previous owner had some stickers all over it. I guess when he decided to sell it he took all the stickers off and a lot of the residue remained. How do you think I should clean it without using some kind of cleaning product and damaging it?

  • try scrubbing it with a dry rag maybe a little water. should come of with a little elbow grease

  • try having the gameboy player on the gamecube you bought it will probably work

  • im quoting the description " Today I picked up a filty Game Cube " :D

  • lol i dont own resident evil but as soon as i heard the continue sound at the begining i was like "aww shit!"

  • 1) I got a Gamcube (Purple) for free with no wires but it dosen't read discs

    2) A hard ware store in town sells a thing called "nut" drivers (its to nuts what a scredriver is to a screw) for £5.95 I think its a 45mm dedicated nut-driver and if works perfectly for the nintendo systems bacause iv'e tested it in the shop but i still need to buy one.

    3) The lazer should be fairly easy to fix due to the avalability to wii replacement lazers or a gamecube disc assembly online.

  • your right you need nstartup disk 12$? lucky guy =D

  • your right you need nstartup disk 12$? lucky guy =D

  • your right you need nstartup disk

  • I wish my never got smashed, by my stupid frend in a rage

  • you need a game boy player disk .

    I lost my cd

  • I once bought a gbp at a gamestop without a disc, hoping it would work...NOPE! Thankfully I found a boot disc at a pawn shop for like a couple of bucks, they thought it was messed up. put it in, and it worked just fine!

  • How the hell did the person get legos in the Cube!?!

  • u can get the disk at the nintendo site

  • Thank you man... I might be able to either fix my friend's GameCube, or get her a used GameCube and fix it up thanks to you. Of course, I might need parental supervision, seeing that I'm only 12...

  • I loled when I saw you readying the GB Player without the disc and said "hope I don't need a software for this".

  • I know its no help to you, but I was at the waste center dropping off old busted PC's, I go into the container with all my crap and I see one of those gameboy adaptors (in its box, unopened). Guy there said i could take it away, got home, never used. All parts still in bags! I love the Gamecube. I still get games for it today...

  • I got the gameboy player for $10 with the disk, but no case at gamestop! It's aswome!

  • my gamecube is good as new, and it got it 4 years ago! lol

  • Hey Derrr My Lego Brickssss

  • GET THE DISK FOR IT HURR DURR

  • @Blo0daXe hurr durr?

  • actuley the legos whare frome back in the day used as a cheap fix for the lazer scraching disk

  • thats cool but i have one better. i got a gamecube from goodwill last week for 9.99 and it was like new no dust on the fan or anyware elce.

  • wow I can never understand how some people treat their consoles =/ when I was a kid I took care of mine, and they're still in mint condition lol

    Nice vid!

  • Did you ever find a boot up disc yet??

  • "...but found out it won't work without the boot disk!"

    DOH!!!

  • I have a gameboy player and the start up disk not sure why I got it. I got it when the gamecube was more popular and the Xbox 360 wasn't released yet.

  • aw man my friend shawn just gave me a game boy player so i can play pokemon on the big screen and no wonder why it wasnt workin i needed a disk crap wonder were i can get 1 of those

  • call nintendo I think.

  • How'd u take off the GBP? I still can't figure it out and its been on my gamecube since i've gotten the GCP. Lol please help anyone.

  • There are 2 or 3 screws on the bottom you have to turn counter conclockwise for like a minute and pull the outwards at the same time.

  • the gameboy player?

its for playing gameboy games on your gamecube

  • Got mine new for about 30 bucks, which over here is pretty cheap. That's what used consoles goes for.

We happened to get one in at work without ordering and then it just layed there for a while so the boss decided I could get it

  • I miss my gamecube :(

  • get the disc at game stop

  • Hee hee... I bought a used GameCube for £15 (about $24.50) and it was pristine! See, if you don't mind paying a bit more, then you get better quality. Then again, I did get an unused boxed Dreamcast for £5 ($8.20) with 5 games...

  • We have learnt a lesson from this video...

Don't buy a GameCube if you have kids and small Lego pieces O_O

  • @JaradTProductions 0_0 good advice

  • here is a for the boot disc if want it

  • lego peice XD

  • did you get the boot up disc for it????

  • i miss these old games but sega went out of buisness =[

  • dude whats with the comunist flag at 00:21 ?? are you a comunist lol

    A comunist gamer !! XD

  • He explained that in a tagged video.

He isn't a communist, he is just interesting in the history. :P

  • i have a dreamcast.

  • i have the game boy player i got it for free but i need the disc to play the gba games so were pretty much screwed without the disc

  • Resident evil 4!!!!! one of the best and i loved the review. wish i could watch more.

  • i paid £1.25 for a gamecube lol..

it worked perfectly and came with everything it needed..

  • nice, the best i've ever paid for a system was £2.00 for a commodore vic 20

  • i couldn't stop laughing when you said it was lego piece that was rattling lol!

  • I'm sorry, you don't EVER vacuum out electronics... it causes static and will destroy your system.

  • VERY true... compressed air is the best way to go!

  • God, who owned that gamecube, people have no respect for their shit.

  • I noticed to the left of the video, there's a mini tripod that most small HD cameras or whatever use. I'm not a fan of those, but they work.

Nice job on the video, and keep it up!

  • dang thats cheaper than the dreamcast u bought.

  • I have the same TV :O

  • My gamecubes eject button is starting to become sticky how would i be able to clear it?

  • Clean it with soapy water. But there are these small plastic peices in there that wear out sometimes and the button doesn't spring back like it should. That us sometimes the problem and I don't know how to fix that without rigging a spring or something insdie.

  • Thanks :D

  • You can get the disc from Nintendo online.

  • @budf1 mine is sticky too

  • My friend had a nasty GC on 24/7, and the fan could not move at all.

  • i made a game "bit" myself out of a flat head screw driver.. check out the vids man

    peace

  • For the gamecube you CAN get a working bit from a hardware store. A 5/32" nut driver works great. I haven't tried it on the N64 yet but the one I got was too wide for the SNES holes. It also won't fit in the holes on the Gameboy Player.

The sticky eject button seems like a common issue. I had it on both my cubes I bought used. Taking apart the mechanism and putting it back together usually fixes it.

  • Am I the only one who enjoys cleaning consoles?

  • Naa I clean them as soon as I get them and usually prefer to pull them apart and do it. I also clean all the cases for the games I get from EB.

  • lol, a lego piece

  • 12.99 you got a game cube a game boy player and lego's cool

  • What size gamebit do you use?

    3.8 or 4.5?

  • that gamecube must be glad it had a good doctor

  • cleaning with windex good call

    alcohol=bad

  • dude you should try to find the GBP boot disk so that you can show us DooM advance on a bigger screen.

  • I wish I had that game, so I could try that. I wonder if there would be any extra graphical flaws from the increase in screen size.

  • well you never realy know. that could be an issue plus the game cube has a bigger faster prosseser and was ment to be played on a tv rather than in your hands. i think that the game cube either had a better 64 bit prosser or a 128 bit prosser like the dreamcast.

  • Lol I KNEW you had RE4 in there when i heard the "Bee-yop" noise in the beginning... gonna play it right now ;D

  • you need to get the cd to make the game boy player to work . you can get them cheep of ebay.

thust me i have the gameboy player for the

    game cube.

  • lol i put legos in my gamecube all the time im puttin some in my xbox 360 right now ur next sega genesis

  • lol that might have been my gcn :)

  • I should get me one of those special screwdrivers to open up my GameCube and clean it properly.

  • u can buy the disk on ebay

  • you can get the bootdisk from nintendo

  • i saw that exact same one lolololol!!!!

  • probably some young kid own it.

  • i went to value village and got a genises model 2 for 8$ and atari 2600 for 16$

  • Ya, need the boot disk to run it. I got one, I still use it occasionally lol.

  • That poor neglected cube :(

  • Try and find a boot disc. The GB Player is amazing.

  • notice you have a copy of virtua racing on your table lol. random comment but whatever good video

  • I was lucky enough to pick up a GBA player complete at gamestop. The disc is immaculate with all the packaging, and it only cost 15 bucks. I would recommend you try checking your local gamestop since you're going to be stuck looking for a software disk. It might be cost effective to just purchase a whole other player with disk from gamestop for $15 because the assholes on ebay really jack up the price for just the disk by itself...I've seen them go for $20-$30 plus shipping.

  • yeah you need the cd it's a white cd.

  • did you ever get the disk for the GB player?

  • ahhh my ears are bleeding from the sega cd theme !!! xP

  • use a rom

  • I got a Gameboy player for 15 buck at gamestop WITH THE DISK! Sorry bout that. I guess an irresponsible kid owned it. You found a lego piece in there LOL!

  • Jake, could you recomned me some games of th GC? I'm really into fps, action and adventure games. a little bit of rpg as well. You said it's your 2nd fav console, but I don't know much about it. thanks!

  • Hrm. TimeSplitters2 was a good FPS (made by the guys that made Goldeneye on the N64), I liked Star Fox Adventure. It's an Action/Adventure with a hint of RPG element to it. Zelda obviously. Mario Sunshine was good. Resident Evil 4 is a must have. Check out a site like IGN and just tell it to show reviews by score highest to lowest and look at the say 8 and up games.

  • Thanks for the tips! i'll search for more!

  • Get Metroid Prime 1 and 2. They're First Person action adventure games and considered to be among the best GCN games. Also check out Metal Gear Solid The Twin Snakes. Everyone needs more Metal Gear.

  • Still in your opinion.

  • No shit that's my opinion, if it wasnt someone else would be saying it. Why do people on the internet feel compelled to point out that different people have different opinions. Common sense anyone?

  • man the family that previously owned this probably had little kids

  • My gamecube makes a loud clicking noise sometimes and my games freeze its dieing isnt it ?

  • You could always called Nintendo or visit Nintendo's online store to get a copy of the software for the Game Boy Player (don't know how much though). If you know how to mod your GameCube; however, just burn a copy from a friend's GBP disc instead but use only small optimcal disc not DVD size disc.

  • The GBP rocks, but the graphics get kinda choppy sometimes

  • I think Nintendo might have replacment discs. But that was long time ago.

I own 2 playstation 2 consoles. both have laser problems. :(

  • You should buyt the software on ebay or something. It cant be that expencive anymore and is worth it! I love my GB player, picked it up for 5 pounds!

  • lol i was like- no duh u need the cd.

  • I'm so jealous of you! I loved my gamcube, but it broke, and I can't find one to replace it that I can afford. I do have the gameboy player, it's awesome too. And yes, you do need a disk to make it work on the gamecube.

  • check some classified ads, some people trade in or sell everything but the console itself, and since u already own a g-cube with everything, then thats good enough right? So yeah, in my local classifieds a g-cube with no cables,no games, no controllers should be around 5-25 bucks. Hope that helped!

  • Is that a Gamecube component cable you have? Lucky. I wish I had one of those, but they're like $60. It's ridiculous. :P

  • No I don't have the component cable. That's an S-Video cable.

  • Ah. I figured it was one or the other. :)

  • disc

  • I check the gameboy player on ebay and you really do need a disc for the add-on.

  • it looks like you forgot to push the game back in? lol maybe try it

  • Wee resident evil 4 :D

  • to mega you do need a disc

  • i want a value village....

  • you don't say...

  • Dude I don't think you pushed the game all the way in check dude.

  • does anyone ever WATCH THE ENTIRE VIDEO UNTIL THE END? makes me wonder...

  • Dude i think you need the

    SOFTWARE DISK!

  • you can probally get that bootdisk off nintendo of america I know they carry a bunch of stuff like that

  • LMAO how do u get lego inside a gamecube?

  • good job fixin it i tried opening it one time to clean the fan but i couldnt find the nintendo screw

  • I bought the gamecube for $99 when they were giving away the 4 Zelda games with it. With the exception of WindWaker and Pikmin 1 & 2, still not worth the $99.

  • i bought my camecube from my neighbors pawn shop a few years ago. it runs perfectly. it was 60$ for a game and controller w/the system. overall i enjoy it. i still play it every now and then.

  • not a GameCube but my original PS2 from 2001 has something rattling in it, this video has given me the idea to unscrew it :)

  • Yes, GameBoy Player comes with a disc. I want to buy one GBP!!!

  • LOL, I'd never treat my little awesome 'cube like that. I treat it with care! I did get my GC 2nd hand so it was a little dirty but i cleaned it!

  • Harbor Freight tools has like all the security bits in a pack of like 50

  • nice 1

  • is saying "pop" a an eastern thing? everyone in western america says "soda"

  • I'm going to have to yes it is? one time I asked my friend to pass the soda, just as soon as I said everyone started laughing. one of them said to me "Soda? who says that anymore." I do...sometimes

  • I live in western america and everyone I hear calls it pop.

  • Yeah my Cousin is from Ohio and thats not really that far from me and he said "Soda" the first time I started laughing sooo hard I never heard anyone say Soda since like 1950!

  • how far west? cuz I live in Reno and moved there from Northern California and I've always heard it called soda, it's still a moot point though :P

  • well we've always called it pop over here :)

unless you want to be boring and call it "sparkling soft drink" :P

  • MN12BIRD for prime minister!!!!!!!!

  • hi, yes you need a cd to start it up,

    sorry but you do

  • you obviously didn't watch the video. he found out IN THE VIDEO.

  • 12.99... goes to show that cash em in's is a ripp off! 49.95! outrage!

  • haha I knew it was a lego piece the second I saw it!

  • lol value village must love you

  • Excellent clean up job! It's amazing what can be done with some time and effort.

  • 12,99.

    XD

  • Sorry about the third comment, but how do you plan on cleaning the buttons (like the Eject which gets stuck)? My GameCube has the exact same problem. Thanks! :)

  • take it out and wash it

  • Interesting fact: the AV cables for the GameCube also work with the N64, SNES and AV Famicom (thanks Wikipedia).

  • once you get a gameboy player startup disc you should show a video

  • Gamecubes are almost indestructible. I have watch some of those videos of guys dragging a cube behind a 4 wheeler on fire and it still works. Nintendo builds a great product. By the way I bought a playstation system only for $5 this evening at my vendors mall and it works great. Picked up final fantasy 7 yesterday for $30 as well as couple more ps1 games and 58 nes games. Big question is how do people live in such nastyness. I mean imagine the house if the cube is that dirty.

  • Have you seen the X-Play where Morgan Webb puts the Xbox, GC and PS2 through a series of tests like dropping it and hitting it with a hammer? The GC won!

Anyways I have a GB Player (too bad they don't have something like it for the Wii) and you do some pretty cool stuff with it - control the game with a GBA using a GC-GBA cable, change the colors of an original GB game like you can with a GBA and if you have enough GameCubes, GBPs and TVs, you could even play Zelda 4 Swords all on TVs. :)
