in other words those were good animes that got DIck with schdules :( soo if u blinked u might have missed Kikaider and if u didnt know yuyu hakusho came on around 5 AM in the mornings at one time :)

this show was like yuyu hakusho to AS and toonami. when it didnt live up popularity they put on the late night schdule yuyu hakusho actullay finished the entire series but only season 1-2 and parts of 3 where shown on regualr time dates4-5 PM or midnight runs early, after that it was late midnight RUns or early morning schdule.

My heart squeezes at the memory of Kikaider and its story. I fell in love with him. I know it sounds strange, but I fell in love with him and this story. My heart goes out to the one who breathed life into this story.

This show was an amusing study in contrasts.

It had an ultra-traditional 60's/70's style of art, was based off of one of the first corny Japanese live-action superhero shows ever, except it's story was a dark, turbulent thing, rife with existential torment and personal betrayals, and had no true happy ending.

It was like a sick Pinocchio story, except Pinocchio was a fuckawesome android badass.

I remember watching this... what, almost 8 years ago now? I've had this song stuck in my head ever since. I'd sit there, pull out my viola and play along to it, and learned to play the song by ear, too. This always moves me when I hear it...So glad I found the name of it so I can download it. Wow, Kikaider for me brings back an intense sense of nostalgia. I was 13 when it was on AS. It's funny I can't remember a single episode, but I can remember sitting on my living room floor & crying for him on most every 1. My bro & I would have the most powerful & introspective discussions after we watched this anime. Though it's on no more Kikaider's haunting message still resonates here with me today. For whenever I'm sad or lost, I always find myself sitting at the piano playing this melody.

When I was younger, the opening theme to Android Kikaider the Animation and the closing theme to Cyborg 009 were my two favorite songs from TV. I loved this show so much, but thanks to shows like Naruto and Bleach spamming up the airwaves, I've started to avoid anime as if it were a deadly plague. I miss you, Jiro.

Well yes this animated series was done by the same production staff that did the cyborg 009 show, but this show was good in live action and a cartoon. It breached the gap so well. I personally thought this show was written better then cyborg 009 but none the less both shows are a trademark in animation.
