  • when & where is this performance from?

  • Boy Id be lost without those subtitles.

  • "Severance" was played on "Miami Vice" on an episode in season 5. And, The Fatal Impact was played on season 2.

  • Wow, his voice is so much different when he is just speaking...it seems so much deeper when he sings. I love Brendan.

  • awwww this makes me so happy! i love Brandon Perry and i get to see him actualy sing one of my favorite songs severance!

  • I've been listening to this band for years, but surfing around the YouTube tonight, this is the first time I've ever seen their faces or seen them perform... I think they are even better live. You can really get the sense that they are "channeling" something from another realm. Absolutely super-human voices.

  • i love their faces

  • Does anybody know where to obtain the entire footage of Lisa shown at the beginning of this clip.... singing 'swans'? There doesn't appear to be live video footage of the track on youtube. Thanks!

  • @AssemblyMass Unfortunately this is the only part that ever was broadcast of this performance!

  • What is the instrument Lisa plays with the sticks?

  • Very nice. Some are haunting; it must be difficult to experience detachment that deep and neverending of the life continued past living's time and of all possibilities of one. At least we don't know everything yet, though knowing all of one is deeply rooting. That would make a universe unbearable if we couldn't convert to pure force. Then again, some have hollowed out to constants even living.

  • Los amo!

Dead can dance es arte, es un trance :)

  • I love lisa's vocie even when she's talking

  • Why do you equate deep and intense with weird? It's like she said, we are all expected to act strong and only show our surface. DCD goes deep beneath the surface. If she wasn't "weird" as you put it, there would be no DCD.

  • @thewanderingshrew exactly, your totally right

  • 5 stars

  • brendan's mustache was getting a little friendly with that mic during severance :3

  • Something very 'knowing' about Lisa Gerrard. Both of them are just able to tap into the ether and move us.

  • i thought swans was lisa gerrards song? on the mirror pool?

  • Yes, but changed. En español, por lo visto, en cada concierto, algunas canciones las van mejo mejorando por lo que siempre suena distinto

  • great music good people only came to hear them because same label as the pixies very cool

  • Pixies? Never heard of em.

  • she is so beautiful!

  • whats the song that starts at 4:00? who knows?>

  • severance

  • "Severance" from their album "Aion", 1990. Wonderful album. Also features "Black Sun", "Song of the Sibyl", "Saltarello" and just so many great songs :)

  • Severance is from The Serpent's egg: their best album in my opinion. A simple mistake and now corrected. Please excuse my correction if informal

  • My bad, you're right! :)

  • I like what he says about the music buisness

  • dank u! merci beaucoup pour cette bijou

  • que instrumento era ese del final del video??? what the instrument play the guy in the end of vid?

  • 1. This guy is Brendan Perry (goddess bless him!)

    2. I think, it's a hurdy gurdy. Also known as wheel fiddle.

  • @Deepskies dulcimer!

  • its a hurdy gurdy - a kind of automativ violine.

  • @markarianman Hahahahahaha!!!!! obviously unintentional but this comment is incredibly funny for us DCD fans!!!!

  • @zarathustra1077

    ?????????????

  • heroes e idolos del alma y el espiritu, son seres con una sencilles tremenda, capaz de crear melodías que van más allá de lo que uno pueda imaginar...

  • beautiful..

  • Wonderful, isn't it? I was there at the concert in Utrecht, the Netherlands 1986, and also videotaped this broadcast. It was the first time ever Dead Can Dance was mentioned on dutch television. And they really made a big impression to a lot of people!
