@kaindrg It's from a 1995 movie called "Savate", that is a hybrid of a western and a martial arts movie. The main character is called Charlegrand, which leads to him being announced as "Charlie Grand". It is a Van Damme-ish movie, so to speak.

THERE BLOODY AWFULL, the storys, the acting are really bad down to low budgets

Miraculously, a day after I saw this vid, I came across the DVD of Savate unintentionally. It just appeared right in front of my eyes on the shelf !

Anyhow, the guy's name is Takis Triggelis. And, based on IMDB, he's a Greek, not French !

The guy who's supposed to be Scottish in the Quest is English. Can't remember his name or style but I saw him on a documentary about the Hong Kong film industry and he's got a strong Lancashire accent.

This reminds me of Shenmue's QTEs a little bit, because some of the moves are repeated 3 times in a row. Anyway, I think this is Chausson rather than Savate, because the emphasis here is entirely on kicking.

there is some more fights..not very good movie..but nice to watch once..I anyway love savate! This Olivier Gruner is kickboxing chapion from 80´s. He has real nice technique..and he is still acting..
