Apache has never been used in air to air combat but like its Marine/Naval brother AH-1 cobra(only some remain in army) it does carry fim-92 stinger pods or aim-92 sidewinder for aerial targets if the mission suggests hostile rotary or fixed wing birds like Mi-24/28 or AN-2 or Cessna Conquest II (The Colombian drug cartel have few equipped with 0.50 cal guns).By the way one apache did rescue a navy SEALS unit by firing 30mm and hydra-70 rockets at an insurgent location in afghanistan.

that's kinda impossible. Using ATG rockets to shoot down a helicopter. The Apache should be armed with proper ATA missiles during a close combat air to air fight.

Throughout the whole movie Apaches are flying with Stingers attached at the wingtips - thought the Army had no footage of firing those from non-test vehicle.

The Hydras-70 are ok, for killing slow airborne targets - especially the M255 warhead with proximity fuse (flachette round). And the Apache will make sure to hit target when locked in TADS and ranged - by adjusting the elevation of rocket pods. It will do the job done if fired in a salvo.

In the footage, thry enemy helicopter which is what i'm guessing a mD 520 or something, was just randomly flying up from behind the Apache. Since the rocket pods were made for anti-ground targets, it should take more time to tilt, also, the rocket pod didn't have the choice of tilting up before 1994.
