@bdweightexer This had always been a problem in India ( parents of girls have to pay a dowry ), but it is only recently a problem in China, because of the one child policy.
Around 1400 years at the advent of Islam in Arabia most people there had not the right faith and the pagan practices were generally in vogue, which included the killing and burying alive of the female newborn children.Some people were believing that Angles were daughters of God and preferred male children for themselves. This state of affairs is mentioned by Allah in Al-Quran, Surah 16 – an-Nahl, in verses 57,58 & 59 reproduced in another comment below
India has to give up their Hinduism which imposes this extreme mistreatment of women, because parents of girls are required to pay a dowry.
