I beg to differ. Chef Ramsay's instructions were to taste the items before anything else. It was only inferred that he made the food. Fondue is usually made with Gouda cheese which has a certain texture and taste (served under flame). I find liver has a taste that I have not experienced elsewhere. Who hasn't tasted the processed meat of TV dinners? Email me if you have actually tasted the real thing. Perhaps your palate would be more sensitive than mine. Thanks.

Virginia's comment about how the whipped PVC spray cheese fondue coated her mouth was hilarious, because yeah, melted plastic has a way of doing that. I've most often had cheese fondue made with Gruyere, but I can't imagine any fondue with natural cheese would have the same texture. I've also never had a pate that tasted like hot dogs.

As for the challenge, I am always surprised at how poorly the HK and TC cheftestants do. I don't know anything that tastes quite like sea urchin roe.

Virginia is such a fake... pretending to be something she is not... a person that have an actual palate. But on a personal note... never really try cheese fondue before... well not really a fan of cheese... but is it good? But I sure love pate and caviar.

II love cheese of all kinds. f you don't like cheese, I don't imagine you would like cheese fondue. The classic recipe uses Gruyere, which is a Swiss cheese with a mild, nutty flavor, white wine, and a touch of kirsch (cherry brandy). Wih Cheddar, beer is substituted for wine. The texture is thicker and grainier than melted fake cheese. Viriginia performs better in taste challenges (more to come) than most cheftestants. Here. she may have been faking to impress Ramsay.
