  • Nice...

  • how did you do the shot at 1:25?

  • nice shot at 1:15

  • DeLorean!

  • what is the lens at 10 seconds?

  • darn you with ur light, we just dont have many days like this in england.

  • whats the song name?

  • @herostasman its in the video description..loser by beck

  • Excellent!

  • What preset did you used? or what filter?

  • Woah brother nice shoot! Subtle and interesting locations, solid shots and good editing. what more could you want!

  • great colouring man! should do some tutorials on it.

  • is this filmed in Vancouver. the car on 0:20.

  • if i had a 7D i would be doing way better stuff than this (no offense). why do all these rich mo fos have these camers but don't have the skills or the passion to really see what the cameras can do.

  • @m420carbine4 no offense but i think he was just messing around one day.

  • Nice.

What kind of stative do u have?

  • What lens are the best for shooting an action movie? Im talking about close face shots and a person running away from gunfires.

Please reply back! Really appreciate it.

    -Stas

  • @herostasman I'm probably late with my reply, but for the most part I shoot 50mm ( or whatever "Normal" is for the cam) to medium telephoto (about 135mm or so). Anything lower than 50mm I use for Wide Shots or for effect. Of course action scenes require the camera to be further away sometimes so super telephoto lenses come may be used.

  • Excellent! Looks JUST LIKE a commercial on TV, or an actual music video! :D

  • Nice one!

  • hey this looks awesome! I own the 7D and I'm shooting a music video for a rock band in 3 weeks, looking into renting some lenses. Which lenses were you using for the girl against the wall drinking coffee at around :24 and :51? great work!

  • Fun

  • good work man, i guess 12 people just have jelousy . keep the good work

  • are your lenses fixed or variable fstop? I'm torn on what to get and why..

  • OmG looks very good!

    did you used tripod?

  • she's hot!

  • 1:15 when she looks over it should be in slow motion :D

  • @TheVideowave ur an idiot.

  • @NiC3SH0T why? just saying it would give more of an awesome effect, it would go along well with the music and stuff

  • @TheVideowave it would look so dumb, shes just drinking coffee. its not the time for a slow motion at all. theres no reason. a slow mo is often so the audience connects with the person, like if they die or fall or something dramatic that makes you feel their pain. WHY THE FUCK is that needed after drinking coffee

  • @NiC3SH0T i'm not talking REALLY slow but a little slowed down, by the way.. your really funny how you can take one suggestion comment so seriously on my end i just laugh!

  • hi, I'm from Brazil. What's the name of that music ? Thanks and nice job ! My 7D will arrive next week. Ansious !! Take care !

  • I want one sooo bad.......

  • what lens is used at 21 seconds? with the drum sticks?

  • @canoeclanner

    I believe my 17-55

  • A Delorean!

  • Great shots!! 7D kicks ass!!

  • Nicely done. Do any of your lenses have IS?

  • what lenses were used at 0:51 and 1:11???

(i'm trying to figure out which lense to get.. =\

  • 1:25 is absolutely genius idea. I have seen better video quality for taken by Canon EOS 7D but it's only depends how you want to render it.

  • lol, i could say something about the awesome video quality and clarity and how i want to get this camera SO bad... but i have to say that girl in the purple is SO beautiful. :P

  • very nice footage. :)

can you please tell me which 7d preset you used?

  • @dreamXpress I use the neutral preset, then color grade the footage.

  • @drewguillory thx for the info. :)

  • Is it just how youtube converted it that made the quality bad, or is this all out of focus?

  • Great video..I was born in Eunice and I'm a Guillory as well..

  • This is Good. It shows framing. But what about controlled lighting? Coming soon?

  • Wow. Maybe it looks like Hollywood movie to me. I loves to be in that picture. :-))

  • Amazing editing

  • great cinematic style.

  • 1:26 brilliant use of the reflection!

My only recommendation is use the 60p and include some slow mo.

  • Awesome footage! My 7D should arrive this week, and I use Vegas Pro 8.0. What do you use to compress the files? Squared5 MPEG Stream? Cineform? Thanks, and again, very nice shooting!

  • For youtube, I'll render an MP4 with a decent bit rate, and 640 x 360 frame size (half of 1280 x 720)

  • Not sure this is right, because it doesnt seem so good quality.

  • 1:25 was so cool

  • did you have any trouble editing your 7D footage on vegas pro? Was it smooth? I'm looking into buying a 7D myself.

  • Vegas CAN read the native files, but there was a little skipping here and there in the video playback... of course, it also depends on how powerful your computer is. Overall, editing 7D footage in Vegas isn't that bad, but converting it first makes it easier.

  • @drewguillory

My HP laptop is Intel Core Duo 2.4 Ghz with 2GB ram. It handles the Canon HV30's .M2T file without any problem. Can it handle Canon 7D ? I am thinking to get one but worried if my laptop is powerful enough to handle the .MOV files. I also have Sony Vegas Pro 8.

  • +1 on the style and thumbs up on the editing as well. I particularly liked the double feature of your friend drinking coffee in real life and as a reflection in the shop window. Very subtle but excellently executed.

  • wow, very clean footage.

  • Wow, I like your shooting style.

  • Thanks.
