It's my personal opinion, Billy had more wisdom at the bottom of his half-empty beer can, than his brother in his entire head and his administration. Just my opinion. I do respect him on the peace accords with Egypt nad Israel, though.
Oh hell yeah!He was among the king of rednecks! The fucker got so drunk one time that he pissed on the end of a runway at some private airport near his hometown of Plains,Ga ha!ha!ha!Now if that aint' redneck then what is?
I disagree. Jimmy Carter may not have been the best president we had but he was far from the worst (George W). Besides he is the only ex-president who doe not sit on has ass & do nothing. Look how long he has been working with Habitat For Humanity.
Sometimes it's the best for ex-Presidents to do nothing. Ex-Presidents can make things worse; such as Jimmy "peanut farmer" Carter. Besides, it has been a long-standing tradition for ex-Presidents to keep their opinions to themselves regarding the present Presidency, unless being asked by the current administration. Jimmy Carter broke that long-standing tradition.
Jimmy Carter was one of the best ex-presidents, look at his achievements. As a private citizen he has every right to express his opinion, infact with hindsight his opinion is prophetic.
openmind1969: Jimmy Carter (The Peanut Farmer) would do America and the world a greater favor if he did sit on his ass & did nothing rather than meet with terrorists and renegade governments; promoting (in his way) persecution and oppression. In humiliating the USA, he was not asked to seek this mission of his nor is his position in life.

I believe the tradition of silence for ex-presidents only applies to the term(s) of their immediate successor.
