I was staring at the face of that robot and realized that it looked a little familiar. Then it hit me, put the ears where they belong on a human, and give it black hair with two pointed 'spikes' at 1 and 4 o'clock, and you'd have the spitting image of Astro Boy.

The lids should close below the center of the eyeballs. When the robot is opening its eyes and raising the head simultaneous there is a moment of irritation, where it looks like the head is up side down.
