  • Pardo has with NBC since 1944, when he started out as a staff announcer in New York- which is pretty much what he did, until he "officially" retired from the network a few years ago. Being "SNL"'s announcer (since it began in 1975) is his only "job" these says....

  • His baseball announcing may not have been bad if he called the balls and strikes at some point around the time of joe garagiola they got away from calling the balls and strikes and start talking about some other game my father didnt like it when they didnt call the balls and strikes my father did a little announcing after he studied a broadcast announcing course with ted cott who was an anouncer at nbc who went into management he also told skitch henderson to go from radio to televison
