  • do you have a list of the movies?

  • nice opening lol.

  • What's the name of the 2nd song?

  • @Prechtl91 Popcorn by Hot Butter

  • Absolutely great films!!.

  • @MADWORLD1427 Thanks!! There's two scenes in particular. the first is the one of this blond guy shooting paint at a kid with an ice cream, the second is this very fast scene of a girl preparing a picninc in the desert.

  • My favorite decade for sure... did you include 'They shoot horses, don't they?'....Can I ask you ahuge favor from a movie fanatic of that era? could you write the complete list of the movies in this compilation in order? There are so many that I would like to see, but have no idea what they are. In exchange there can just be my eternal gratitude and esteem :).

  • Great compilation. I would also included Rocky and Kelly's Heroes.

  • Not sure if i saw these included: "The Ascent," "Woodstock," "Amacord," "Scenes from a Marriage," "O Lucky Man," "The Mother and the Whore," "Small Change," "Vengeance is Mine," "Coonskin," "Heavy Traffic," "El Topo," "The Holy Mountain," "Stalker," "The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie," "The Sorrow and the Pity," "House" "Dawn of the Dead"

  • The 70's were wonderful era. My favs are Earthquake, Alien, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Apocalypse Now and many many others

  • Easily the best decade in film, the 1970's was the rebirth of American cinema, it was a whole new ball game! I loved seeing Faye Dunaway, Ruth Gordon, Karen Black, etc...

  • Yeah 70's was pretty cool. People were more free then to express creativity thanks to the lifting of nudity restrictions at the end of the 60's. The main difference between now and then is that today people make movies but back then people made films.

  • ♥ .

  • That's terrible! That one scene where that guy shot that poor little girl with the ice cream cone!! :( LOL

  • @tall32guy that's Assault On Precinct 13

  • Another great little movie from this time -" Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry" and don't forget " Sometimes A Great Notion" Directed and starring Paul Newman.

  • ♥ !!!

  • Yep Craig, some of my favourite movies are from this time. But you left out the best road movie ever - Two-lane Blacktop! Just kiddin'......The scene with Woody at the end has me on the floor, he's the best. Another great job dude, you have this editing thing pinned! Long live the seventies!!!!!

  • Best movie decade ever!

  • My favorite decade of film, too! I learned so much about life be- yond the cornfields of Nebraska through these great films you've featured, CraiG. Will we ever get mainstream films for thinking adults again, or just endless 'Shrek' sequels? CraiG, I SRSLY want to go to the movies with U! Popcorn will be my treat. Candy, too. ~Marcito in Omaha
  • What movie was that with Madeline Kahn @ 8:12

  • Amazing work from you, as always!

  • I love your work!!!! By the way, what movie is that from where the little girl gets bumped off?

  • yes the 70's were the best..thank you for commenting and watching!

  • ...in the words of Harvey Korman...NOW GO DO THAT VOODOO...THAT YOU DO SO WELL.

  • lol... Harvey R.I.P.

  • I need to say in the first place that you were not telling the truth when you said that you would put the good, the bad and the ugly. In this sample I can not see anything bad (well, perhaps love story) but in the whole they are only exceptional movies. After seeing this video, I need to agree. It was the best decade we can think of. Gosh.

  • Spectacularly-done, my friend! Just lovely! Thanks so much! All the stars for this! **************** Love ya! Red

  • Red, I am so happy that you liked this!

  • Kiddo! (I have listened to this video at least 4 times today at work, lol!) I LOVE IT.

(And boy-o-boy....what an OPENING, LOL!) squeeeeel! (And this song by Cat Stevens, I have had in my mind for the last 4 days, and HERE it is) I love you my Sweetheart of a Friend.

This is one of the very best I've seen.

    ~mE~

  • I love, Love, LOVE you...thank you so much for this comment my friend!

  • Well, I am on my second time. I will see this video at least 8 more times today. Wosh. what a marvellous editing.

  • He ALWAYS does a "marvellous" job on his editing. Also his timing is the best I've seen yet.

So many of the greatest movies ever he has featured on this one.

It's like strolling thru Memory Lane..*smile*

    ~Tammi~

  • I agree. This is my fourth time. Amazing.

  • guess what..I agree with you!

  • I knew it. I never doubted that someday we would agree on agreeing. Perhaps we can say, as in Casablanca, that this may be the start of a friendship.

  • Another great memoir of another GREAT decade in film. Thanks Craig! I love this series you are doing.

    Love,

    Buster

  • as always thank you Buster...did you notice I grouped Rip Torn and Bette Midler together?

  • I did see that, you know how they ENJOYED working together! LOL

Did you know that "Murder By Death" was one of my favorite all-time movies?

    Love you,

    Buster

  • lol..I love it too!..one of the most quotable movies ever! "Where's my Dickie..I mean my Husband!"

  • Craig another great job! Another decade in cinema! There are many names that have characterized those years: Minnelli, Hoffman, Redford, Allen, Beatty, Brando, Travolta. Great music and thanks for including Giancarlo Giannini 8:24. Close with Woody Allen is amazing! 5 and added!

  • thank you Mirko!,,,but don't forget Nicholson. Wilder, Fonda, Hawn, Striesand, Hackman, Belushi, Brooks, Altman, Christie, and George C. Scott!

  • I could not forget and wait for the decade 1960-69! ;)

  • I loved that movie with Jack Lemmon and Sandy Dennis where they face all the dangers in New Yourk but I don't know its name. Great video. 5 stars.

  • it is called "The Out of Towners"

  • Nice job on the vids. I wish I can say I've seen half of these films. Every time I watch something new from this decade, it literally feels like the next film is better from the last.

  • the 70's ruled!!

  • Excellent! and nice touch with the Hot Butter.

  • lol..thanks

  • Craig, hands down, this is the best work you have ever done!, this is a masterpiece, my favorite movie montage on Youtube, and you know why it is FUN! that is what most of the other ones are missing!! it was almost 10 minutes but felt like 2, I have alreay watched it 3 times in a row!!
