@fleurthefrenchcat sure, I don't care if others keep watching. I just knew this was what the selection committee was going to look at and wanted to let them know I was aware of the time limit.
Very nice!! I loved the musicality of it and how you were really letting the music MOVE you. It was dancing at it's finest, imo, and I would be disappointed if USPDF didn't accept you!
I think it is great, and i don't see why you HAVE to wear heels for the submission video. You are showing strength and originality in this video, and definitely the capabilities of someone who can and should compete. You should submit this video, and i am sure you will do great!!! XOXOXOXO
OK...a few notes I jotted down.: Loved the opening H/S sequence...roll up into the cartwheel was nicely controlled, well paced to the nusic. Very good beat accent noted in the Forearm Aysha sequence with the leg kicks, extensions timed to the bass drum. I liked the whole 1:45-1:50 part...the ballet/modern dance type stuff. I think ou could even put more of that into it! OK, thanks for indulging me these comments...hope they were useful...and if you go for heels anyway...you go girl!
Thanks Joel, all feedback is helpful and I really appreciate all the notes :) I intend to put more dance elements in to justity my lack of heels. Alethea and Michula thought it was fine for me to be barefoot if that makes you feel better ;)
land toe first and angle down the ankle for a nice slide of the leg to floor. Also, the same argument for the shouldering in 3:34 and the roll out at 4:01--all the floor work, really...because you have tapped into a certain naturalistic way of moving for these segments that's a little DIFFERENT (I'm not saying "better"!) than club style floor work. OK, so PLEASE, nobody who dances get upset with me--I love heels and floorwork more than anyone alive, LOL! This is an argument for THIS dance only!
Uh Oh...I am in BIG TROUBLE now because I had jotted down my strongly felt argument that this dance should be done barefoot only to pop out the extended comments and see that THREE of my idols don't agree with me. I'm going to try to overcome my natural timidity and ask your permissionto speak freely... I think that you have employed lots of jazz dance stylings that need a little bit more freedom of movement than you can get in heels. One example might be the 1:31 dismount where..cont'd
Ever heard the phrase "keeping it street"? Well, I believe in "keeping it stripper"! LOL!! I know how funny that sounds, but really what I mean is: sexy heels, sexy outfit, seductive demeanor, etc. You look absolutely amazing. I'm sure whatever you choose to do you will rock USPDF's worlds!
I agree with Karol, heels look better. Your perfomance looks really good. Really really good im sure by the time it comes to submitting your performance to the powers that be at the USPDF you will of ironed out all the creases of which I coudn't see any even your Jade split looked the dogs x x x x x I personally love to watch you dance your routines are always so creative and fluid.
personally, i think heels look better. but in the cumpulsory round i think heels are a requirement. all this shit going on with me, and i havent got to work on anything!! i suck.
yea like people are only gonna watch til 3 minutes...... why would you want them to stop watching anyway what is the point??? doesnt make any sense..
